Product Reviews

These are hard to find in stores now. Glad to find them easily online!

I can rarely find rechargeable batteries in store anymore. We don’t have a lot of electronics for our children (we’re Montessori-based parents), but it’s frustrating when we do go to use something with batteries and the batteries die quickly or are already dead. I don’t know what took my so long to think about ordering them online since I have trouble finding these in stores. But I’m glad I did! I haven’t had to buy batteries in many years, thanks to the rechargeable ones that I’ve built up. More children = more batteries now! lol They hold the charge great. I’ll never go back to disposable batteries again. Waste of money for the disposable ones!

Thiago batteries are noticias recargue… have wrong …

Thiago batteries are noticias recargue…have wrong description…i bougth that because i want recharge batteries but arent. I am from centroamerica and i cant return the product.

Good batteries at a discounted price

The current batch of these are good batteries that are made in Japan and may be comparable to more expensive eneloops.Straight out of the box and after running the “Test Mode” once on my La Crosse charger, all 8 batteries were close but slightly below the listed specification of:Capacity: 2300 mAh (2.30 Ah)Battery1: 2.30 Ah2: 2.243: 2.254: 2.235: 2.256: 2.227: 2.228: 2.23On average they fell short of the advertised capacity, but on further use they will likely improve a bit to meet it or get closer. When the lower price of these compared to eneloops are taken into account, they are still a good option. I will use these batteries regularly in LED flashlights and other electronics for the next few months and run a refresh cycle before doing another test of the capacity. I will update this review with the additional data.

Hmmm Very low power capacity…

The only thing “D cell” about these batteries is the size. These batteries lasted 14 the time a regular D cell battery lasts. I realize is says right there in the description that they are 2500mAh batteries but I had no knowledge of the power capacity comparison before I bought it. Obviously now that I have a problem I did my research and found this answer. I still have these and swap them out continually, but I also purchased 6 of the EBL brand “10,000 mAh” batteries which are closer on par to a D cell battery and what I expected to start off with these energizers…

A GREAT INVESTMENT

HOW TO CHOOSE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERYSince rechargeable battles have an enviromental impact with disposal, you want to buy the ones that work the best and lasting the longest. The best rechargable battery I have used (and I have been using rechargeable batteries for over a decade), are NIMH. THese batteries have the greatest advantages and the few disadvantages (as detailed below). My choce is base on 3 basic principles: Capacity, performance and self-discharge rate.Capacity is measure in mAh - think of this as the gas tank in your car. The higher the mAh, the bigger the “tank” and the longer the battery will work.Performance is a measure of ability to last in energy guzzling devices such as gaming consoles and digital cameras. Performance of NIMH batteries is nearly double that of the usuable disposable alkaline battery. This is similar to the need for high-octane gas in high performance cars.Self-discharge rate is how fast a fully charged battery loses its power (“leaky” gas tank). There are 2 types of NIMH batteries, LSD (low self-dischage) and non LSD. he LSD NIMH batteries will retain 75% of their charge for a year or longer. Non-LSD NIMH batteries lose about 15% of their charge in a month. Since I mostly use rechargeable batteries is “battery eating devices” and rarely store my batteries for more than a month, I use the non-LSD version.so now you have the information to look at the different paramenter of NIMH batteries and determine the best value for your battery usage. In my own experience, many LSD NIMH batteries have not performed as well as regular NIMH batteries. So I prefer the regular NIMH type. Brand is also important. I find energizer brand to be high quality, long lasting and reasonable priced.

I would recommend buying higher capacity rechargeables

Be advised that these are 2500 mAh, which is about 14 what you would expect from a D battery. The whole reason you want a D battery is so that it can last a long time. 2500 mAh is roughly the equivalent of a AA. So in a sense, these are really AA batteries in a D container.I would recommend buying higher capacity rechargeables. Not to say that these aren’t quality batteries, they just won’t last very long, which is why they are cheaper.

Last for a long time

These batteries are great and are not that expensive. I bought them for my Xbox controller and they last me for a long time. This is all I use. I never buy regular batteries (for my Xbox controllers) anymore because these batteries will last a long time. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because:- On the new package, it also advertises “Charge up to 250 more times”. But that’s compared to previous generation (2500mAh) cells, which has a lifespan of only 250 cycles. Most brand LSD cells are rated for 500 cycles. Sanyo Eneloop is even higher at 1000 cycles. For the regular batteries, I would recommend Amazon one, or if you have a Costco membership - the Kirkland.

One Star

The batteries are defective. They are too light in weight to be “D” batteries.

Great batts

Work well I use these for PS4 remote

Four Stars

As good as any rechargeable batteries.

Double A’s in a shell. Swear I can feel them rattle around. Bottom Line CRAP.

BOTTOM LINE CRAP. these are double A’s in a shell. I swear I can feel them rattle when I picked them up.

Great quality and holds charge really well

Great quality and holds charge really well. I’ve been using my old set for Xbox controllers for 2 Years now and just bought new ones for my daughters noise making toys…

No charge

Horrible product. Does not hold a charge

AND THEY WORK GREAT.

SO very light! AND THEY WORK GREAT.

Good Longevity, Excellent (in my opinion) Amount of Usage Time w/ Full Charge

We purchased these originally almost 9 years ago for a baby swing that we didn’t want to keep buying new batteries for.

small capacity in a huge package

WARNING ! These are AA batteries put into D cell packages! RIP-OFF!

5 Stars

A+++
