Product Reviews

So Tiny, and Perfect!

Have only had this little unit for a couple of days, but it is just what I was looking for! Really like that it is rechargeable, as I would rather have that attribute than have another full-time plug and cable to clutter up the room with. Will report back with updates as time moves on.Update: 3/30/2017After a few times where the connection to my devices seemed to suffer from interference, or just not a solid enough connection, I have found this:Before turning the Etekcity Wireless BT 4.0 Receiver on, I make sure my device, in this case my iPhone, has bluetooth enabled (ON). Then, when turning the BT Receiver on, it automatically connects to the iPhone, and is ready to stream. Doing it this way, whether it’s just me, or it really is a better way to connect, get me perfect streaming, a solid connecting, with no break up, or interference. This little BT receiver is still a five star product, for me! Love it!

Simple solution for updating older stereo on boat

I installed this in the glove box of my 10 year old boat to add Bluetooth capability to the sound system. Now I don’t have to deals with the limitations of my phone tethered to an audio cable.I can have my phone conveniently next to me in the shade. This device so far has worked flawlessly, no matter what type of phone that connects to it. No typical Bluetooth fussiness of sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

Works great, no funny noises.

Exactly what it says, works perfectly, TINY.Paired instantly with NFC, makes no funny background noise AFAICT.Really convenient that it has a battery – you don’t have to plug it in unless you wanna run for more than 10 hours, and it runs off standard USB, so no hassles with chargers.Judging by the operation of it, this is based on the exact same IC as the OMAKER bluetooth speakers (and likely many others). Same pairing and startup sounds, same “hold for 4 seconds to turn on/off” functionality, etc.But instead of a speaker, this one just has a line out. Perfect for making old stereo equipment convenient to use with smartphones and tablets, and at $20, totally reasonable.Build quality is nice and tight too.UPDATE: Still works great after a few months, no surprises, no funny popping sounds.I like it enough that I’ve ordered a second for the other big stereo in the house. A few nits:I would like the LEDs to be a lot dimmer and not integrated with the button – difficult to tape over or black out. The auto-shut-off can be confusing - it would be nice if it stayed on when connected to USB power rather than battery. Then again, it’s nice that if you disconnect, it won’t be blinking all night.

Works like a charm!

I have a very old car. It only has a cassette tape slot and a CD slot. So to play music in my car I got a Cassette Tape Adapter and connected this Bluetooth unit to it and Voila! My car suddenly has a Bluetooth Sound System! I think I might be getting these for my old Bose Portable Speakers as well!I also use NFC tags in my car. So when I get into my car I just1)Turn on the Etekcity unit2)Scan my NFC Tag with my phone which connects me to the Etekcity BT Audio Adapter and opens my spottily playlist. And then I have everything set and ready to go in less than 5 seconds.3)When I get off the car I just scan the same NFC tag again to turn off bluetooth, lower volume, and close spotify. I don’t turn off the unit, seems it turns it self off after a certain amount of minutes or seconds.I personally got some generic NFC tags from Ebay. But you can get more or less any NFC tag from Amazon or wherever you want.I also use the app ‘Trigger” to program my NFC tags. But you can do whatever you want.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jwsoft.nfcactionlauncher&hl=enBy the way, here is the cassette tape adapter I usehttp://www.amazon.com/Philips-PH-62050–Cassette-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B0007R4LI8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1438181548&sr=8-2&keywords=cassette+tape+adapter&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011I do not notice any sound quality issues. And the battery seems to last decently long. I have used it for about 8 hours now, and I haven’t charged it since it came out of the box two weeks ago. I don’t do anything to turn it off when I leave my car. It seems it just turns off it self. The only thing I do have to do is hold the center button to turn it on and then pair/connect my phone to it.

This little critter is perfect if you carry your music on your phone like …

Big Bang for your buck! This little critter is perfect if you carry your music on your phone like me and you’re constantly plugging and unplugging into your earphone jack because you have older home and auto music tech with no Bluetooth. Jeeze that was a long sentence. But it’s all true, I got two. One for my work truck and one for my garage stereo. Plug and play my friends. Program it once to your device and all you have to do is push the big button next time you wanna use it. This will totally save your earphone jack on your device if you’re a hardwire kinda person like I used to be.You won’t regret it. Guaranteed.Oh, and it comes with all the wiring you need and a power supply.

Not for making calls

Works great, easy to use. Very clear sound. Can not be used for making phone calls. I bought it with the purpose of making calls while driving as I have an older car without this…

Excellent Purchase

Does not work on traditional speakers!

I have a pair of outdoor speakers I’ve been wanting to use for a while, but I’ve never hooked them up because I don’t have an outdoor amp.

Five Stars

Easy setup, worked just like I thought it would.

I recommend it, low noise and easy to link. I’m not sure if the name of the bluetooth can be changed, that would help since I have 3 of them at home

This transfers music with a very bad connection. It muffles the sound slightly, and is not as clear as I was lead to believe based on frequencies it states to run on.

Good Reach!

The best Bluetooth I’ve owned so far. Its reach is impressive in comparison to others.

works as advertised

works fine

A Good Thing

This thing works great, just keep it charged. Turned my Old Big Bose into Bluetooth speaker.
