IT LACKS THE UTILITY…..

This case is well constructed but it lacks the utility that I thought it would have. I purchased this case for the Nuvi 2797LMT. It does not fit well (Loose even with velcro strap) nor is there room for anything other than the USB cord without bulging out. I gave it two stars for the construction.EDIT: Caution, Caution, Caution….. The above exact worded review was censored and removed from public view by Amazon. When I question the removal they would only respond by saying. Your review does meet our guidelines and is being reinstated. I would not have purchased this product had I read a review like mine. Watch your negative Amazon product reviews and make sure they do not get removed. I don’t know about you, but I use the negative reviews more so than positive ones when I am considering purchasing a product.Regards.

Great carrying hard shell case to protect my Garmin 2799

Great GPS hard shell case to protect my device and space efficient. The previous one I bought was too big and bulky, like a small suitcase kind of thing and the section for the GPS has a small strip of Velcro to keep the divider lid and device in place. It tore off the first few days which meant the device was not secured at all and would fall out every time I unzipped it.I’m using this case for my Garmin 2799. I haven’t tried to put the car charger cord in it, but I think it may fit. I decided to leave the charger connected and concealed in the car’s accessory storage box between the driver and passenger seats, and just carry the GPS device in the case, which fits in my purse just fine, unlike the other one. Very light, sturdy and great price. Love it!

Despite what the Q&A for this item says, it does not properly fit the Garmin dezl 770. I was able to put it in the case and zip it, but it is so tight that I’m afraid the zipper is going to split. The case literally deforms when it is zipped closed. For a smaller GPS (ie 5”) this would likely be a fine case but I’m afraid I’m going to have to look further to find a case that will fit my 7” unit. It would have been nice if the seller would have done even a little bit of research regarding the fit of the 770 before incorrectly and explicitly answering a specific question about it. Wasted $12.

Way too large for Garmin 7” GPS devices

But possibly usable for something else entirely, like - a carrying case for my log vape and accessories.I would give it 3 or 4 stars except it is so very unsuited to the purpose for which it was being sold. Mine didn’t come with a strap to secure it as another poster showed, and the Garmin just slides around and flops around in there. It’s more in danger of damage IN the case than if I just put it in my purse without it.I’ll look for one of those Amazon Basics neoprene sleeves - had one for an e-reader, hopefully there’s one appropriately sized for the Garmin. A neoprene sleeve isn’t a hardcase, but it also doesn’t have to fit perfectly. I just want to protect the screen from getting scratched, really.The product picture is REALLY misleading. The Garmin doesn’t come CLOSE to fitting that tightly.

I just would have liked it to be deeper

I had a similar one for my other GPS unit and it was deeper than this one. It’s ok, the GPS unit fits, but the car charger you have to make sure that it is on the side of the GPS unit for the case to close properly. I just would have liked it to be deeper. It does the job. But if you plan in putting anything else in it, ie ball and joint connector, forget it. Nothing else will fit in it.

This is a very good fit for our 7” Garmin. It protects it against the every day bumps in life and is exactly what we were looking for.We use Amazon for most of our purchases and I update my reviews if anything changes with the products. I do this so other Amazon users can get a real feel for the life of the product. I am not associated with any company and all opinions are my very own.

Description was not exactly as stated ..

Case was okay as far as the fabric and quality from what I saw when I opened it. However, it did not actually fit my Garmin GPS as it stated it would.I gave it 3 stars as the product itself looked nice but whereas it didn’t fit and the description wasn’t accurate that obviously didn’t help me with what I needed.

I was extremely disappointed in this case. I expected a hard shell, instead I got something that is soft, looks cheap and is made very poorly. I don’t normally write reviews for the product is as it says it is. This product is not as it says it is. If I had to place a fair market value on this case I would put it at about $2.00. Trying to think of something good about it, I would say that the fit is good. That it fits in my glove compartment. Please try to find an alternative, for you are going to feel ripped off.
