Love this cover, didn’t expect to …

I was pleasantly surprised by this cover. I hated the cover that came with my first generation kindle because the standing function was laughable and frustrating as it usually collapsed. Then I loved the origami cover that came with my next kindle and (after that one was stolen) was disappointed to find the origami cover was no longer being sold. So, it was with trepidation I ordered this cover, because I couldn’t really understand how it functioned until I had it in my hands. My recommendation: buy it, you won’t regret it! I now officially love this cover (and like it even better than the origami cover). It stands in several positions for reading/viewing or gaming comfort (and makes clever use of its magnetic properties to do so). I also love the world map on it … normally I go for a color, but I’m very happy with the way the map looks. So, very happy and highly recommend!

Unequivocally Recommended

5 stars for this case and for Finite customer support and its REP. Although the first Finite case that I received was ok, I had problems pulling down the settings and notification tap from the top in landscape. A quick call to Finite got me the most congenial, knowledgeable, and helpful REP that I have ever encountered online. Within seconds he directed me to this case. It is perfect. The stand is the best I have experienced, the magnetic supports firmly holding the case in position. No more problems pulling down menus, nor up from bottom. I was little worried about the over clasp. Well, I love it, and it’s very sleek, not bulky or unwieldy at all. Excellent fit and finish. I unequivocally recommend this case.

UPDATE: I purchased 2 of these cases in different colors and unfortunately one has a very weak magnet and will not hold the cover closed so I am deducting one star from my review. Luckily Amazon has agreed to accept a return for refund of the faulty case. I will just keep the one for now and wait to see if Fintie updates this model to include a stronger magnet and possibly add some new print designs. Also, the Purple case is more of genuine purple color rather than the reddish hue shown online. The Blue cover that I purchased is great as noted in my original review below. End of update.In the current offerings on Amazon this is the only case I have found where the stand actually stays in the position desired. The magnets are strong enough to hold the tablet in a perfect position for reading; and the larger surface of the stand means that this case will work just fine on slanted, uneven or soft surfaces which is what I needed for reading in bed. The tablet easily snaps into the plastic frame at 4 corners and sits flush so my fingers are not bumping into the edge of the case when swiping. The only con is that the case is about 4 ounces heavier than the Ultra Slim or Folio cases, but the stand works so much better than the other cases this will be the case I use on my Fire HD 10.As a comparison:I also have a Fintie Folio case that has a tab on the back to hold the folded cover to make a stand and that model works well but does not always stay put and I do not care for the wrapped edges with the Folio case which is why I decided to look for a different style case. The Folio case is lighter weight compared to this case because it lacks the hard plastic frame, but it seems bulkier.I also tried 3 different brands of the Ultra Slim case design and had zero luck with the stand holding on those.

Too Heavy, Limited Positions

Case is of good quality which is the reason I rated it 2 stars. However, it is not very usable. It is too heavy to hold up to play games or read. Must prop tablet on table or pillow to use it. Because the case stands straight up when on its side, I cannot easily view games that play in portrait mode. I had bought on Amazon an origami cover for my last Kindle. The origami cover was lightweight, durable, and usable in all positions. However, I could not find such a cover on Amazon now. I would not recommend this cover.

Great seller, great case

This seller was wonderful! The first case I received was defective and Fintie shipped me a replacement free! I didn’t even have to return the defective one. The new one works perfectly and is beautiful!

Looks good, but wears out fast.

Looks good, but wears out fast. I ordered this in January and the ridges are already wearing out. I love the feel of the cover, but since I use my kindle fire a lot every day, I will need to find a more durable cover.

So pretty!

I am very happy with this Kindle 10 cover. I received a new Kindle for Christmas and was so afraid to touch it so I needed a case ASAP. This case seems to be of real quality and although it adds a little weight to the device it isn’t overly heavy. I loved the choices of patterns and find it very easy to use it in all the different positions. It snaps on easy and all the ports are easily accessible as well as the camera. Highly recommend.

Classy case! Kindle snaps in place so front is not covered by the case which was a problem with my last case. Camera lens does not get covered which was also a problem with my previous case. The magnetic adjustment on back works great allowing me to position the kindle perfectly. Screen shutting down when you close the case is very convenient.

Purchased ³⁄₁₂ and case has already started falling apart. Side started cracking within a month, then magnets fell out.
