This is a very well made product an well worth the money. An issue that was discussed in a previous review: It was indicated that the included speaker-to-bracket mounting screws were metric and could strip the threads in the speaker housing (US 1⁄4”-20 threads per inch). In the box that I received (December 2015), I received the correct screws; so the issue appears to be fixed by the manufacturer of the brackets. However, since some retailers could have the older versions in stock, be sure to check the screws. If you have a question, your local hardware store should be able to help you out.
Really solid, metal construction. I like how you can mount the speaker either upside down or right side up (bonus: the SONOS logo is palindrome so it didn’t appear upside down when I wanted the buttons facing down). I wish there was horizontal tension control in addition to the vertical one.
These work really well. I have a couple of tips for other buyers:- Definitely hang upside-down if hanging above eye level.- The bracket tends to make it hard to get the mounting screw in straight because it presses on the side of the screw. Be very careful that you don’t strip it. I got one mounted with only minor issues, but the other one was more problematic. I had to remove the rubber bumper at the top. That left enough clearance that I could screw it in with no pressure. Afterwards I was able to easily replace the bumper.
Great brackets. This allows you to mount the speaker such that the controls are on bottom or top - which was perfect considered we mounted our speakers up high for a surround sound environment.
This is a well engineered product - but receives a 2 star review because the wrong set screw is shipped with the device! Be careful, or you will strip the Thread Mount in the speaker. The Sonos directions call for a 1⁄4 screw with 20 thread. The Brits shipped with an M5 screw - METRIC! So be prepared to go to the hardware store to get the right screw (about $.30 for stainless).
Great brackets, that hold the speakers firmly and since SONOS is a palindrome and the brackets let you flip the speakers upside down it still says SONOS.
Fits beautifully. I hung the Sonos speakers upside down, so that I could easily access the controls and see the light.
Secure and easy to install. I would prefer if the exposed metal hinge parts were also painted white, though.
Perfect
Packaging:No mounting brackets or screw supplied within box. You would think $60+ price tag a couple of wall anchors and screws.
Exactly as described. Very easy installation and offers ability to swivel speakers around the room, depending on your listening area. Love them!
Excellent purchase. Easy to install. Best way to Mountain View to a wall.
Don’t buy the overpriced brown version this works just as good
My mounted speaker looks great. I wish the swivel was lockable.
