It works

This optical cable is one of the most rugged I have ever seen. The braided jacket is thick, and the connectors are metal. The cable works fine.BUT. the metal casing around the plugs comes unscrewed easily, and in my case, one end is not staying plugged into my computer. I’ve checked the port by using other cables. Other cables stay in the optical port just fine. This one comes out with any slight movement. The gold plated connections have a plastic y feel to them as well.Overall, this cable is ok. It’s not the best but not the worst I’ve used and for that I’m knocking off a star.

Heavy duty cable for sure!

This is a much thicker cable than I was expecting. It’s very sturdy and thick with the braided sleeve. It uncoils easily, stays uncoiled, and lays down flat. It’s great quality. However, if you plan to run this through a cable management channel (to hide it), I would recommend getting a thinner cable. This cable is thicker than RG6 coax. It’s nearly garden hose size!

This was actually the only optical cable that I found that was rated for in wall installation. I needed one after getting my new TV mounted on the wall. Its high quality compared to the other I previously had. Just note that the cord is pretty thick. So if you are using a sound bar where the connection is a tight fit… might not work for you. There’s not much give which thankfully worked for me (after running the cable through the wall).

Surprising Performance

This was the first time I used an optical interconnect in one of my audio system. I connected my network player to a Cal Audio DAC. To evaluate its performance I also connected the two devices using one if my coax connectors. I toggled between the two outputs and found that the optical connection provided a very detailed sound stage when compared to the coax option. I am swapping out the cables in my two other systems as well.

The cable is definitely good quality, and does its job well. The shipping was fast, and the company contacted me to ensure everything was to my liking. The only issue I had with the cable was that at first it was very stiff. Very stiff. Like so stiff I had to wedge it in place with another cable so it wouldn’t fall out of the digital input. However, after a few weeks, it was good to go. I’d definitely buy it again for my setup!

Works Great

Works great and supplies the sound quality that I need. Considering my blue connection keeps dropping this provides non-stop sound quality.

Optical digital quality

Excellent quality optical both ends and the cable itself ar not cheaply constructed. Cable is not skinny enough to floss as in other opticals. My purchase of 6 foot log cable was a little to long but better longer than too short, no stress on cable. DO NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE THIS OPTICAL CABLE.
