A button to manually switch between the 5 sources is also built-in.

HDMI Supported Features Up to 1080p, HDCP 1.0/1.1, 12-bit Deep Color, 3D, and uncompressed/compressed audio formats are some of the newer HDMI features supported on this switch.

Optionally Powered from Connected Devices No power adapter is necessary to make this switch work, as long as the connected devices supply sufficient power. For devices that do not supply enough power (or supply continuous power in standby) the included power adapter is recommended.

Infrared Blaster and Remote Control The included infrared blaster and remote control allows the switch to be controlled from a distance. Easily switch between HD devices without having to get up from your seat.

Gold-Plated Ports The 24K gold-plated ports resists corrosion and reduces tarnish.

Level VI Energy Efficiency Power Adapter The Department of Energy (DoE) published a more stringent energy standard that went into effect in 2016, and the adapter meets the required standards. Level VI is currently the highest energy efficiency standard.

Just what my junk tv needed

Besides this thing’s led that’s bright enough to take down aircraft, it’s a fantastic product. I just put a piece of tape over that sonb!tch and it keeps from burning out our guest’s retinas. The “tiny remote” as we call it, to my surprise hasn’t been lost in the abyss of the couch or someone’s rectum. I do enjoy the fact that there is a switch on the box itself for when the inevitable happens. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!!! Little did you realize upon purchasing this marvel of the modern age that you have invited a super intelligent austrian death machine that senses when a device is powered on. Hell at first I didn’t trust it, but once the boy taught it to say “hasta la vista baby” and use it’s power for good I came around. Five stars.

If you need a Multi-Port HDMI Switcher than definitely get this one.

I needed a Multi-port HDMI switcher and after doing some research, several websites claimed that this was one of the best to buy for the low price…they were right. The HDMI Switcher works like a dream without degrading quality of the video. I was a little worried that the HDMI Switcher wasn’t going to work since you can attach 5 devices to the Switcher but it works really well and again no degradation. The only complaint that i have is the remote. The remote barely works half the time and it’s small so it’s easy to get lost in the couch or just around your place. The good part is you don’t have to use the remote, the Switcher has a button on the device that lets you switch inputs the remote is just for convenience…which turns out isn’t really convenient. Overall, I highly recommend buying this if you need a very simple HDMI Switcher that works. Will definitely buy again.P.S. I really like how small the HDMI Switcher is it makes it easy to hide away underneath a tv stand or in a drawer hiding all those wires which is a huge plus for me.

Love the auto sense that switches inputs.

I love this product. It comes with a remote control if I want to manually change to different inputs. Also I love that will send when I turn on a different device and automatically switch the HDMI for me so if I don’t want to use the remote. It will also connect to my eight 3-D TV. I have my PS4, Xbox one, surroundsound, and cable box all connected to it. Great product works really well. Shipped quickly! I recommend.

Great (5x1 - 5 inputs to 1 output) HDMI solution for the price!

Very competitively priced, and great value for the functionality it delivers. I’ve got 2 of these - one I use in my home office (seen in photo) and one I use with my home entertainment system to route HDMI signals from Chromecast, console and Apple TV inputs.Call-out to how the unit works regarding automatic switching: this is built in to recognize, and switch to the newest signal i.e. if you turn on a device, the switcher sees its input signal and automatically switches to the recent device’s input (in my home entertainment setup). If you time it right, this saves you having to know which input is what - just power up your TV FIRST, then power up whatever device you want to watch.Otherwise, switching is a breeze - sometimes taking a bit of a lag for the IR signal to register. Line of sight is important, to state the obvious with IR, so make sure your sensor is within clear view of where you will be operating the remote. With as many inputs as this supports, another callout is that you will want to learn what goes where - my household is constantly confused by which input is the PlayStation, vs. the Chromecast, and so on.All-told, great device for the price.

A Perfect Accessory for HD Gaming!

After it arrived, I used it to connect my TV to my PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Wii U. When I had all 5 consoles on, I was able to change which console gets displayed on the TV via the with no problems. The use of the remote needs a bit of work on my part, most likely due to the positioning of the infrared red extender. Overall, I highly recommend this accessory to any gamer looking to make use of his/her console collection.Update (⁶⁄₁₄):I positioned the infrared red extender properly and the remote works well, perfect for switching consoles from the comfort of your gaming chair!

Wow,glad I found this,works great.

I only have two hdmi on my tv and this expands it quite nicely. The remote is a nice feature,but I don’t use it cause it automatically knows I’m using roku or Bluray player. This is a must if your tv has a limited amount of hdmi outlets.Update 10/8/13 have been working with this for some time now and it has not failed me yet and the only thing I can say is this is GREAT! I have my Roku,Bluray,and now chromecast hooked up and it transfers over nicely to each device. Well worth the cost,ease of setup and usage.

The remote doesn’t work, and it’s near impossible to get the battery compartment open.EDIT: The remotes battery was in upside-down, and I used a flathead screwdriver to press the button to open the battery compartment, the device works wonderfully now, changing review to 5 stars!

I love this thing!

I researched long and hard and was actually very frustrated with trying to make a decision on which of these to purchase. I finally just went with this one out of total confusion. I am so glad I did. It is perfect in every way for my implementation. I love that I can change inputs with a button on the unit itself or use the credit card size membrane remote. It just works perfectly.

Welcome Additional HDMI Inputs

I have lots of TVs. Some of the small ones only have 1 or 2 HDMI inputs. These allow me to connect Chromecasts or Blu-ray players in addition to TV boxes.

I have both this and the 4k switch by the same company, both are equally great to me so let me try to put it as simple as possible.

Does what it suppose to, give you 5 extra HDMI ports.

Simple inexpensive solution to not enough HDMI port.

Hooked the controller up but the controller does not work

WORKS AS ADVERTISED

Works like it should. Used this switch to hook up an X1 Comcast DVR and a ROKU express to my 720p 19” lcd kitchen tv, which had only one hdmi hook-up.
