For organic gardening
Pattern Name:Pack of 1 Garden Safe Neem Oil, 16-ounce - 93179
Neem Oil in my sprayer is an important part of my organic gardening plan! Organic gardening in the South is challenging (I live in Atlanta). We don’t get good hard freezes that can help balance the insect population that may attack our food crops. I mix Neem Oil Extract in my sprayer with water and go after a wide variety of pests that appear on my garden plants. I don’t hurt the birds, earthworms, or the pollinators that I want to encourage in my garden. Take a look at the link below if you want to see how Neem Oil affects bees and other pollinators. A good rule of thumb is to apply Neem Oil in the early morning or evening to be absolutely sure it won’t hurt bees and other “good guys.” Overall, you can be assured that it won’t hurt the good guys unless you absolutely saturate your plants in the hot sunny heat of the day when bees are active on the plants! Neem Oil is an excellent addition to the organic gardener’s toolbox.[…]
In doing research I came across this and love it! I mix it into water and add baking soda (which works as an organic fungicide). My plants are looking beautiful, happy and healthy.
So far, so good. I had a problem with insects getting at my herb and vegetable plants last year. My basil and tomatoes were completely destroyed. I have sprayed my plants a few times with this neem oil (mixed in a spray bottle with water), and my plants have not had any bugs. This bottle of oil will go a long way as it is very concentrated. Happy with my purchase.
I bought few plants in local nursery and saw some insects on them within few days. Used this neem oil in a sprayer (Chapin) bought separately over 3 weeks and my plants look so much better. I saw new growth and not more insects. Also I had mildew for few years on peonies and sprayed this neem oil on them this year. What a change, the mildew is gone on 90% of my peonies. The rest, I will continue spraying. I love this product.
We’ve used this for the last 3-4 years on our garden to keep our greens and leaves from being stripped. It works just as well as the commercial pesticides without having to worry about long waits to harvest and needing excessive cleaning to eat. I prefer to mix it myself and use it in a sprayer since it’s both cheaper and easier to use.
Good purchase, thank you!
awesome! so much better than getting the Bonide pre-mixed stuff from HD. such a better value. i use a Solo 420 two liter sprayer. perfect match.
It works great! I had caterpillars eating my apple tree leaves, but not after I sprayed this oil extract. The only downside is that it needs to be reapplied after rainfall, but that’s not a big deal because it’s easy to apply with a handheld sprayer. This is better than using harmful chemicals. If it drips on my hands, it washes right off with cold water.
used it for part of my mixutre for outdoor critters and mosquitos. Worked great in the garden
did not have to go to B&M
A must have product for the organic gardener. It is a multi-use bug disparager, powdery mildew remover, etc.
I had several bugs eating my jalapenos, bell peppers, herbs and tomatoes. I applied this last week and again today.
One of my potted succulents got infested with gnats; they are harmless but still unpleasant and unsightly. But in a matter of weeks, the gnats spread to all my indoor plants!
Have had good luck with Neem. Recently I sprayed zinnia leaves that were being bug-chewed into lace. Weather was hot and I sprayed too heavily…
as advertised.
Cured my beloved purple roses of rose rust! Not my favorite smell, but it worked very well.
Work good
