Decent case but I miss the older style
I miss the envelope-style pouch Garmin had a year or so ago. That felt more high-end and fit the GPS’s better. Because this is a sleeve and doesn’t have gusseted sides, it’s oversized to compensate for the thickness of the GPS. Not crazy about it but not worth sending back. If you can find anyone selling the old envelope-style case, go for that instead.
Fits the 6’ screen nicely, 5” would be sloppy
The material is premium grade hyde of the nauga and the fit is just about right for the 2699. A 5” screen would be sloppy. The strap is held by a magnet that isn’t quite strong enough. I would have preferred a patch of velcro. There is a patch of stiffener inside about the size of the screen that adds a bit of additional protection for the screen. I’m pleased with my purchase.
Very snug fit for Garmin 60LMT GPS unit
I have a 6 inch Garmin DriveSmart 60LMT which fits very snugly in the case. Good because it fits that not loose within the case. Bad because that it’s somewhat difficult to extract it from the case. Also necessary to remove the piece that attaches the GPS unit to the ball. Magnetic strap is not long enough to fit over the opening with the unit in the case (Velcro may have been a better choice). The case is okay, but not great.
Too small for a 6 inch garmin gps
Its a tight fit but I got my 6 inch Garnim in this case. It it really too tight, I hope over t hme it will losen up.

Works well. Good fit on 6 inch Garmin screen. For $170+, Garmin should have tossed this cover for free. They did so on past products.

Too big for 5” GPS.
Well made but if you own a 5” GPS then this case is way too big. It is 1” too wide and 1 1⁄4” too tall for my Garmin 5” GPS.
It’s Nice To Have
A hard shell case would be more protective but at least they offered one…
