Solid! This is replacing another memory card reader

As a professional photographer and a tech geek, I’ve bought a lot of things like card readers and adapters to make my workflow easier. I bought this GiBot card reader not for an iPhone, but to use my SD and micro SD cards more accessible with my laptop–primarily so I wouldn’t have to use micro SD to SD adapters…The build quality on this card reader is really solid, there’s a good weight to it, and feels high quality. I’m going to keep this one in my laptop bag so it’s always with me. The one that it’s replacing plugs into the USB port, and then it dangles off of a cord, and I didn’t like that style. I’d rather it be like this one, like a thumb drive design. No dangling, no moving parts really, just one solid piece.READ MORE

Really useful device.The IOS app does as the packaging says.I’ve tested this with a 128GB micro SD with no issues; it can take a moment to load.My only issue is with some of the plastics spacings in construction. In general it’s good, however: check the cap orientation when closing off the ends as they are not quite symmetric.Also: I found that one could every easily insert the micro SD into the cutout, miss the metal guide for the port and get the card stuck in between said plastic and holder.(In short: the microSD slot cutout hole is a bit big..). Just watch what you are doing and check the orientation when inserting micro SDs.Otherwise it’s simple and effective. Certainly does (and works) as advertised. A lot of work for a little device

The package came really close to being fully open. The one thing that I mainly wanted to use this for I can not do my android isn’t compatible apparently I have the galaxy s7 that I wanted to transfer stuff to a iPad. Only way you can do that is separately. You have to load whatever u need to a card then plug it in only After you have to download a app. That makes it a pain to try and figure out how to save pictures to a camera roll took a lot of tries to figure it out. The box has some directions but it even says compatible basically iPhone to different iPads mac and pic. anything that involves a android takes more workREAD MORE

Love this addition to my iphone. I can use it to backup my photos and videos and anywhere without need to use a computer. Also, I can store movies in the SD and see them with my iphone when traveling. It works great so far and I would recommend it.READ MORE

Easy to use sd/micro sd card reader small like a flash drive

I been wanting one of these for awhile easy to use.I had some videos I took and wanted to see how they turned out,so I plugged the micro sd card into the slot, plugged this into my computer found my videos and able to view them all and deleted the ones I didn’t like,also has a regular card slot,READ MORE

App needy not feedy

Nice and compact but must use app to download and only saves photos to app from card. Then can only transfer photos already on iPad/phone to it as a backup apparently. I found another that allowed to transfer directly to photos. Simple with no app needed.READ MORE

Failed software for transfer device

This is junk. The software that you need to move photos from your iPhone to the memory card transfers ONE image at a time then crashes. Save your cash and try something else.
