TLDR: If you need a remote and can use the Godox system, this is a no brainer.I paired this up with my A6300 and a Godox 350S and it’s perfect! Really like being able to control the flash output from this unit and haven’t received any misfires. For the price and convenience, it’s perfect. I will probably be getting another Godox 350 to pair with it so I can have a nice little portable studio. I like the fact I can do TTL remotely, as well as setting manual if I need to do something more tricky. I usually use it about 15-20 feet away, so it definitely works well at this distance. One last thing I loved is when I adapt my 50mm 1.2L or my 85 1.2L, the trigger doesn’t protrude to touch the lens. My previous YN triggers were not able to attach with those lenses.
I am using this Godox X1T-S trigger on an a6000 camera with Godox TT685S flash. At first I could not increase the shutter speed above 1⁄160, but I discovered if I go into the settings on the camera and set the Flash Mode to SLOW, I could then change the shutter speed up to 1⁄4000 of a second, effectively using HSS with the trigger and flash.
I really like Godox products. This wireless flash trigger works directly with the Godox 860II-S flash I purchased one month prior to getting this.I jumped on Youtube and looked at some reviews and tutorials in using it. I’ll say this, those tutorials are way better than using the instruction book. You can control the flash power, the channels, ttl, all through the trigger. Once you learn the functionality it works great.
I was looking for a small remote transmitter for my a6300 and this was perfect. For the price of one Sony flash, I got two plus this transmitter.Interface is easy to read and very easy to setup the zone and chennles for my multiple flash. Small so it does not add a lot of weight to the a6300.
Good quality system at a very reasonable price. I have this sitting on a Sony A7II paired with a TT685s, TT350s and AD360 I. It’s very reliable, no misfiring out in the field and so doesn’t become a distraction. Just works as expected.
I use this with my Sony A6500 and my Canon 5DmIII. Each with its specific transmitter. I put my Flashpoint 600 in group A and my Canon speedlights on B and C. Works flawless with both cameras.
Very happy so far. It works perfectly with my Sony A6300. Even better is that this transmitter will work with my Ving 860IIC flash, even though that flash is for my Canon 5D Mk IV.
works as advertised. has dirt INSIDE the screen, which is annoying. but, for the price, i guess i can’t expect perfection. at least it works and it very functional.have noticed the viewing angle sucks pretty bad. so, if you are using it for real estate, be aware you will likely have to lean over quite a bit to see it. i’m like 6’3” and it’s a little annoying. the one with the angled screen looks more ideal…but i wanted something that had ttl.
awesome trigger works very well with Sony’s a6000 as well as the Sony a7.
nicely build and easy to use.
The flash trigger came in great packaging and is in awesome shape. The cleaning not was also a nice bonus.
I just can’t say enough about these Godox flash accessories for Sony cameras. I was initially having issues finding a flash that would function properly, and fit the hot shoe.
This works great with my Sony a6300 and 6500!
As always ways, great product for good price.
comments powered by DisqusI’ve not used it with anything other than the Godox flash, so I don’t know if it will drive anything else, but it works perfectly with the 600s.
