Product Reviews

Worked as a temporary fix. (Review to be updated after confirming not camera error)

*UPDATE*It seems that after a few uses the adapter has unfortunately lost its ability to be read by my Canon EOS 50D. At first I thought it might be the SD card and played with that then after trial and error narrowed it down to the adapter. I will be contacting a camera repair shop to verify if it is or is not the camera itself but for now I find it odd that it worked fine for a few uses then suddenly “went bad.“For now I am downgrading my review to a neutral rating and will update based on my findings!(Previous Review)I recently received an older Canon EOS 50D that a neighbor gave to me and I realized that it only utilized a CF card to store media. My first thought was “CF Cards still exist?” as I had not seen them in a very, very long time. Looking at CF cards it did not appear that the space in those for sale was very useful compared to SD media- and the cost was also higher in comparison. While searching CF cards I learned that adapters existed allowing users to utilize more common storage media- SD cards. Thank goodness for the existence of a CF adapter for today’s modern times!I decided on this product due to its reasonable price and, upon opening, was concerned due to its small size (this is a Type 1 which I understand will fit any CF slot). It fit fine into the Canon as promised so it passed that moment of truth and moved on to its next: fitting the SD card. I did not anticipate a problem until I began to insert the card when I found it would not easily go in. After a little wiggling I was able to fully insert the card and it worked like a charm.Things to know: The fit is very snug but don’t be like me and think that it would not fit your card! With some slight maneuvering (not rough) it WILL fit your SD card- remember it needs to fit nicely so that it does not slide around. It would be nice if they changed the back design a bit to make removal easier but you’ll be able to manage I am sure. The top is a thin piece that will move with some slight force (but don’t use too much!). With it’s light weight/design I am not sure how this will hold up over time if the card is removed frequently. If you have a device you can easily hook up to computer without removal though you really have nothing to worry about. Being new to photography/REAL cameras I do not know how this affects the rate of saving photos/transfer so I do not have any details to offer on that end but it seemed like a normal amount of time between shots to me!Long story short, I highly recommend.

Perfect solution if you want to use SD cards in a camera’s CF memory slot.

Works great. Now I can use 2x SD cards in my 5D. One is installed in the SD slot, the other is in the card and in the CF slot.SD cards are cheaper than CF, and come in larger capacities.

Great Adapter.

The little storage piece fits right into the adapter and then that adapter fits right i nto the CF card adapter and then into my camera. It works great and I cannot tell the difference from a regular CF card and the SD CF Card Adapter. My camera does not have wifi capabilities so I cannot review that aspect.

works good.

Works pretty good, but it did slow the speed of my SD card a little. Doing some testing in my camera I was able to get 8 pics above the buffer as a straight SD card, but only 2 pics above my buffer when it was in this adapter. But it’s still nice to be able to use my SD cards and not have to buy more CF cards since most my cameras only use SD cards.

Works great for loading music to my bluetooth speaker that also accepts a memory card. Loaded tons a songs on it and it just keeps playing.

Actually works well …

I was worried that this might not work well, or might slow down the data but I do not see anything that would suggest this is the case.

Works great with Canon 5D MK 1 (classic)

Just got in today. Works great with Canon 5D mk 1 (classic)Will update if anything changes

Didnt work out of the box!

I put this on my camera and it said there was an error. It didn’t work right out of the box. Not sure why but I certainly would not recommend.
