Product Reviews

TWO of these chargers lasted less than 3 months.

I own 2 of these chargers, one purchased individually and one came with a lawnmower package. I got 2 since I had 2 batteries, I would like to charge them at the same time.Well, BOTH of these chargers are now dead. I bought them at around the same time, less than 3 months ago. Now I have no way to charge the batteries on my mower or my edger. Thanks Greenworks! I guess I’ll go back to a gas mower, my last one went a decade without needing anything but gas and oil!

Stick battery in the freezer first or it won’t charge

The charger works great if you first stick your battery in the freezer- when my batteries wouldn’t charge & the people on the hotline were useless/clueless, I got this tip from another reviewer… & now I pass the knowledge on to you

Great charger, 4 AH battery is heavy.

I got the larger battery because I was afraid of running out of power in the middle of a lawn. I have the hedge trimmer, edger, and blower. The battery has 4 led’s to show capacity and I stay on one during my whole job so the smaller battery should be ok. Besides you have to order the large battery and charger separately whereas you can get the small battery as part of a tool. You CANNOT mix the G-MAX and 40v (old version) so look carefully when you order. I thought the charger was included with the battery but it was not so I had to spend another $40.00 for the charger.Negatives: the tools are heaver than I thought, especially the string trimmer; and the blower is ok for sidewalk cleanup but NOT for blowing leaves off the lawn- I was tired of dragging an AC cord so bought all this stuff.

great so far chainsaw came before tornado struck up the road the big battery gave me all i could handle not young so work must be attempted in adifferent manner than young and test periods frequent jost turn saw off pull batt out cranks right up no problem had cheap and expensive saws this batt is way to operate gas the way it is

Would recommend

After ruining our original battery, we looked to replace it from the place where we bought the chainsaw. It was almost as much as the original saw and battery! Looked on Amazon and found this 1 for about $100 cheaper. So happy to have found this company. Very satisfied with the battery. Working great.

No Fossil here

If you don’t like the noise of your average lawn mower, I bought the companion lawn mower from Greenworks, and it does what it is designed to do. Just be careful which version you buy. I bought the mower thinking it was an inexpensive battery powered, but the one I got didn’t come with the battery and charger…

Prone to failure

This replaces the original, which is about two years old. I have no idea why the original would have failed as it did, but this charger seems to be prone to failure. I like the trimmer/edger, but reliability really matters. The quality control and/or engineering at GreenWorks might need a bit of fine tuning.

it works

There isn’t really much to say about this charger other than it works. I got this charger mainly as a backup. There are times where I needed to charge two batteries at the same time and this second charger will come in handy.PS: When I was using a gas mower, it would cost me about $2 in gas each time I mow. I have about 13 acre of lawn. I’m not even going to talk about the cost of tune-ups for the gas mower. If I add up all the money I spent on tune-ups, I could have gotten another mower. With the Greenworks battery powered mower, I’m spending about 15 cents in electricity a week and I’m mowing twice a week now. Why twice? Because I can afford to do it more often and I like to keep my grass short.

Haven been using it for about a month now and it works wonderfully. So nice to be able to just start mowing without having to tug and tug on a gas mower.

Thanks for a great product at a great price

Thanks for a great product at a great price. Also - you made it easy for me to determine if it would fit my model GreenWorks weed wacker battery which I bought some where else.
