It’s ok

It looks cool and it’s heavy which I appreciate. I’ve been playing guitar for years and bought this for my husband who is just learning. It’s difficult to use and it doesn’t press down on the strings the way you want. But unless you’re a serious musician you won’t notice the duller tones in the music when you play with the capo.

Looks cool, but !

It looks cool, it’s easy to operate…but the spring could be a little stronger. I don’t own cheap guitars I use a Fender LaBrea, and a Martin A-31 so I don’t have any issues with excessive travel between the strings and the frets. I didn’t return it, but I can’t recommend it either. In the studio is one thing, you don’t want to fiddle with it live to stop the fuzz.

Cute but not practical

It’s cute and well built. However the curve on the lower jaw isn’t centered with the top pad and with all the pointy bits, I wasn’t careful and wound up putting a scratch on the neck of my guitar.

This product is fairly difficult to open widely but after using it for a while it is no longer as difficult. This capo fairly sharp and not the greatest in terms of ergonomics and design but this capo was bought purely because it looked much cooler than a standard capo. The product does its intended job well but if you need a standard capo that is easy to use and light this is probably not the capo to buy.

“Jaws” Needed A Dentist!

As an avid guitarist, I enjoy an abnormal and unique piece of gear! This capo fit the bill. Finish is plated zinc in a very bright gold-tone and is top notch. I’ve played with this over 2 months now and the pistol grip lever action has remained very stiff. My only complaint is the “teeth” on the capo came loose on the bottom jaw after a few sessions. This was remedied by a drop of super glue. Do not buy this if you have weak hands or if you prefer a screw type tensioner on your capo as it requires some strength to open it. Do buy if you want a very hefty, weighty capo that will last until the end of time, with superglue! 4 stars for having to repair it so early on in its life with a consumer, but it remains bullettproof as long as you have some super glue around.
