Beat the heat; fun in the sun! We own three: 2 styles/ 2colors

Keeps my hair from sun damage under my bike helmet and keeps sweat from running down my forehead into my eyes on long distance bike rides in hot Florida sun where heat and humidity create heat index over 100. One single small bead in front of Halo holds it in place and does not leave much of a mark and does not feel tight on my forehead at all. I wet it and my hair sometimes for increased evaporative cooling. It does not add heat to my head in these conditions. It is mesh and not for warmth. My husband wears them also for sun protection on his head. They wash up and hold up well and have not yellowed from sunscreen or sweat. HIghly recommend in hot climates or sunny climes.

ELASTICITY becoming loosely

Hey Everyone, i just got my cap a week ago and i really like it, i really wanted it for work to help keep sweat out of my eye’s and so far it’s working but, the only thing i don’t like is when i first got the cap it was nice and tight/snug but now after hand washing it everyday after work and hang drying it , it’s starting to lose it’s ELASTICITY and becoming loosely on my head and my Cap/Hat size is a 7 so i have basically a normal head, but otherwise i really like it.

Works great!

I really like this cap. It does a fairly good job of soaking up sweat, but is excellent at keeping the sun off the top of my head. I’ve been sunburned through the holes in my helmet before, but not anymore with this cap.

It’s a Win-Win-WIn!

My husband sweats a lot and is always having sweat run into his eyes when biking. If we are on our tandem, this also means his sweat flings back on me.Not anymore with the Halo Skull Cap! The headband with silicone channels sweat from his eyes, and the added material of the cap absorbs what would end up in my face. Plus, built-in sun protection.

the material is great, so is the comfort

Wish it was a little bit tighter. the material is great, so is the comfort, the rubber piece on the forehead is ok I guess.I usually wear a wave cap underneath this because it’s tighter and actually produces wavy hair. I hate the look of it tho, so I wear this over the top when I’m at the gym. Even with a wave cap on underneath it, it’s still very loose. I wear a 7 38 fitted hat, and I could probably afford to lose about another inch or so from the material and still fit it.I like the headband, but I wouldn’t pay another 20 bucks for it.

so I wear it backwards and it works just as good. The rubber lining makes a dent line in …

I’ve used this in the Texas heat working in the oilfield and it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s thin and doesn’t interfere with my hardhat, but it slick and makes the hardhat fall off a little easier. Just need to tighten your band up a little. I’m not a fan of the rubber lining in the front of it, so I wear it backwards and it works just as good. The rubber lining makes a dent line in my forehead and is very annoying once it’s off.

Not great for motorcycle use

This Halo Skull Cap has a heavy neoprene band running around the rim that is both too tight and too tall. The band covers my ears and presses quite hard on my ear plugs, resulting in a rather loud ride. Seams are on the outside instead of being flat, and while the neoprene band is rigid the white top portion isn’t. Putting on my helmet either pulls the Halo down too far or tries crunching the tips of my ears between helmet and seam. Neither one being terribly comfortable. The yellow rubber sweat stripe leaves a lovely divot in my forehead, so I tend to wear this thing backwards. For reference, I wear a large Shoei full-face helmet and a 7.5 hat.Locating a motorcycle helmet liner is rather a Goldilocks problem. I’ve come close a few times, but haven’t located that “just right” item yet. SweatVac makes (or used to?) a nice ventilated cap that worked perfectly under a full-face helmet. Ear tips weren’t squished or pulled hard, and it doesn’t hit ear plugs resulting in a deafening experience. Finding them is getting to be tougher, though. Zan had a little Coolmax cap that worked okay, but stretched easily and needed frequent replacement. Ah well, I’ll keep trying different caps and seeing what works.

Socks for the (gear) head…

I really like this skull cap and actually use it year round more to keep my helmet clean than to keep my head warm (the way I see it, this is like socks for the head!). The band on the edge does a good job of keeping the sweat out of my eyes… however, do be aware that after the ride, you’ll be walking around with the “indents” of the band right across your forehead which definitely looks a little goofy - it does go away after a while, but not as quickly as I would like. I’ve washed mine multiple times and have had it for more than a year now - washes extremely well and I’m impressed it hasn’t worn out yet given the amount of biking that I do.

Keeps the sweat out of my eyes.

Horrible rubber sweat band

The rubber sweat band is uncomfortable under your helmet and pressing into your forehead. You are constantly aware of it while you ride

The resulting appearance is not fortunate.

these are for people with VERY small heads. The resulting appearance is not fortunate.

I have a ridiculously high sweat rate and minimal hair on top. Eye burn from sweat was killing me while riding.

Have several of these and where them all year long. Keeps sweat out of my eyes during work (construction) and play (football).

Love it

Keep your melon dry and protected

Keep your melon protected with this skull cap. Great for under helmet to shield from UV rays on scalp. Rubberized grip keeps it in place and channels perspiration way from eyes.

These are perfect for keeping it out of his face

My husband is growing out his curly hair. These are perfect for keeping it out of his face! Great quality! And breathable!

I LOVE this product.

Perfect fit. Perfect look. I had bought a halo skull cap in the black and grey urban camo. I love them both.
