WATCH OUT! This is AURA STUDIO, not AURA.

Are u kidding me? I received AURA studio instead of AURA.Well there are huge differences between AURA studio and AURA in terms of functions and price.Now, which you described in AMAZON is AURA: Airplay, Wi-fi, etc.However, AURA studio doesn’t have Airplay function or etc. Aura studio has only Bluetooth function. This item doesn’t change or move LED light either, whereas AURA changes light on the basis of volume change.This why AURA studio is cheaper than AURA.You should update the right information about this product.

Said it worked with airplay and with bluetooth. Item showed up with a 12 inch x 4 inch piece of paper containing 4 small pictures which is what passes for a manual. Airplay doesn’t work. Bluetooth doesn’t work. No way to troubleshoot. Searching online for an answer so far fruitless. Return.

Harman Kardon Aura Wireless Stereo Speaker lacks a Digital Optical Input shown in online manuals

My 2-star rating for the HK Aura Wireless Stereo Speaker may change to a higher rating if two issues are resolved with this recent purchase. First, the HK Aura Wireless Speaker System that I received is not as described in the HK online Owner’s Manual and in the Quick Start Guide. Both the manual and the guide show in the illustrations of the Rear Panel Controls that, in addition to the USB Service connector, AUX IN connector and the Power connection, this speaker has a Digital Optical Input. The unit I received, however, does not have this connection. Consequently, if this issue cannot be satisfactorily resolved either by Amazon or by Harman Kardon, other buyers may want to think twice before purchasing this speaker, especially if a Digital Optical Input is essential to ones needs. Second, the unit that I received did not come with the “installation app” that is supposed to be “in the box.” Before I decide whether to keep or to return the speaker, I will wait for a reply about my concerns.

A good background music speaker

I am not thrilled with the sound because it is weak in the high frequency range, a result of the way it is designed. The plus side is the low frequency is good with the downward facing woofer. The bluetooth connection works well with my iMac and iPhone. I am keeping the speaker because it is a conversation piece and it is fine for background music listening. I did adjust the equalizer in the iTune to increase the treble range. This helps a lot in the balance of the sound. The unit I received is the Aura Studio. I called HK and was told that the difference between Aura and Aura Studio is in connectivity. Otherwise, they are the same. The price difference is $50, list price.

Beyone frustrated.

I don’t know what to rate this star wise… I have ordered this product now 3 times and they keep sending me the “Studio” version. The “Studio” version does not have Apple Airplay or the Harman Kardon Remote app. I have talked to managers, sent pictures but no one there seems to understand what the problem is or they don’t care. They keep advertising one product but sending out a watered down version that no one seems to know anything about.

Item was not as advertised. It was the cheaper version of this speaker. It has been returned!!!!!

This is NOT the product in the pictures or the title, but it’s still AWESOME.

This is NOT the “HARMAN/KARDON AURA” this is a lesser known model, the “HARMAN/KARDON AURA STUDIO” (which explains the enormous discount). This is advertised as being the “Aura”, but it is not. This “Aura STUDIO” version has the same great design and sound, but connectivity is different. This model does not have Wi-Fi connectivity, input source control, USB 2.0 port, optical audio out, or even a remote app (and therefore no bass level control).Another small design difference is in the volume control. The “Aura” has widely spaced plus and minus touch sensitive buttons which you can slide your finger between to adjust volume. This “Aura Studio” model has closely spaced touch sensitive plus and minus volume control buttons with no swipe volume functionality. The circular light in the middle also does not change to reflect the volume level.Now, what the “Aura Studio” DOES have is bluetooth connectivity, an aux port, and a micro USB port for service. Also, INCREDIBLE sound. Its incredible how the DSP tech in this thing widens the stereo sound so you really do get left and right channel stereo sound from a single device. The bass is rich, warm and very very powerful. The 4.5” downward firing sub will literally shake a room and seems to never distort even at the highest volume. The H/K Aura Studio really does fill a room with sound. Standing 15 feet away, it sounds just as loud as it does 2 feet away.So no, you’re not getting a $400 speaker for just over $200, you’re getting a lesser version. It is very deceptive for this to be sold as an “Aura”, advertising all of the features and showing images of the “Aura” when in fact what you get is a version that has significantly less connectivity options. I hope everyone who buys this reads this or another review noting the difference.
