Video quality is good. You can tell it’s compressed but also still tell it’s 1920x1080. However, in a racing game, I notice quite a bit of tearing. It appears the device is really struggling to keep up with even 30FPS. As you see in the uploaded picture, that tearing is pretty consistent once you get moving with the video looking a bit choppy.

Great video quality but you need an hdmi splitter for Xbox one. No instructions. You have to do your own online research to figure out how to use it and it won’t work with Xbox one w/out a splitter. Once you figure it out and buy the extras they don’t tell you about, it works great.

The component part only shows up in black and white for old systems but it world. I ended up using a upscaler anyways just to get The footage in color. The editing software is easy to use but is outdated.

This is a very confusing product to use. Despite coming with directions, I had a hard time setting this up for use. I still have problems with it because it decides randomly when to stop recording.

Pay more than you expect instead of less than you should–had to return

I have used a variety of digital and analog capture devices through the years and was eager to get a device that did not require a computer to work. Setup was straight forward and I was capturing HD Video a few minutes after unboxing. Initially very impressed with the video and sound quality. The video was razor sharp, better than expected.After the first successful capture, things went downhill rapidly. An annoying and sharp buzzing sound replaced the audio I thought I was recording in later captures. Eventually, the unit would not record at all despite the LED indicators showing otherwise. It became obvious in day one of ownership that this device wasn’t going to work for me and I decided to send it back.GIving this two stars for working out of the box and delivering better quality than expected initially. Three star deduction for not recording sound, inconsistent or no recording later on and the general waste of time trying to get this to work after being teased with one good capture. If you decide to buy this, you are rolling the dice. I am unable to recommend.

Doesn’t break HDCP

All of these are the same, mine has ezcap on it like the other ones. It does not break HDCP, so some kind of splitter is needed.
