Almost bullet proof
This hard case is awesome! I am a Marine and deployed in Afghanistan. This is the best thing I can think of to use for multiple environments. I take pictures as often as possible so my camera is in and out of the case all the time. It has been dropped, walked on, buried in sand and still out performs any other case I have had. Thanks to this case my Nikon camera is still in pristine condition. Not as expected
This case ended up not being what I thought it would be. It’s not a true hard case, which is what I was looking for to protect my camera from any potential drops/falls while hiking. I ended up using a different case that I already had from a previous camera that worked well. This case is a little “squishy”, kind of like foam, which I guess could provide protection but it is not a hard case as described in the name of the product. I was going to return this for a refund, but after paying return shipping I would not get more then a few dollars back, so it is not worth the return for me.
An Adventure-ready Case
This case was what I was looking for; the other reviews here got my hopes up and I was not disappointed! I was mostly concerned about the dimensions working with my camera (Nikon Coolpix L29) and thankfully it is a great fit, there was even enough room for a few SDHC cards and extra batteries if I really wanted to fit them in. The exterior is shell-like but still has some give; definitely feels durable and should hold up for a long time. If you are worried about any smell or odor it was similar to a new wallet; not unpleasant and hardly noticeable. The case also included three loops for attaching a variety of straps. A small clip and strap were included but not attached. Double check the dimensions and buy this case!

I purchased this nice HDE camera case at the same time as the purchase of my Nikon S4200 camera. The case is of a hard sided leather design with a small mesh pocket on the inside for an extra battery. The camera is not loose inside this case. It fits very snugly. So there should be very little worry about thing flopping about. The case comes with a shoulder strap and belt loop spring loaded release. I like to carry my camera on my belt when I’m out and about. This case outside measurements are, 4 1⁄2” long, 3 1⁄4” wide and 1 1⁄2” thick.
What a PERFECT FIT for my Nikon Coolpix Camera–Fits well and protects without bulk!
This case gives plenty of protection without being bulky like many other camera cases I tried.What is unique about this case is that it is made of a tough outer material to protect the camera from drops, banks or any type of mishaps! And the zipper is very well constructed!The inside of this case has a velcro tie down part to protect the camera.Overall I am quite pleased with the quality and fit - best camera bag that I ever owned.Highly recommend!
It suffices.
Adequate space for Nikon Coolpix S4000. Pocket inside case is not big enough to carry a spare battery without the possibility of damaging the camera. Would be sufficient for an additional memory card.
Just as described
This case is exactly as described. It fits my small Nikon Coolpix camera and protects it. I can’t fit the charger in the case, just the camera, but that’s fine. I just wanted something to protect it when it was in my purse or a bag and this does the trick. It’s a good value.
