6 FT - BRAIDED 28 AWG - HDMI 2.0 CABLE - 18 GBPS - ETHERNET & AUDIO RETURN CHANNEL
Get your hands on this heavy duty high quality HDMI 2.0 cable! One of a few cables that will drive your 4K TV/Monitor at 2160P/60 Hz (if both ports are HDMI 2.0 ports).
Don’t be fooled by thin Copper Clad Aluminium (CCA) cables. This beauty is made of 100% pure oxygen-free bare copper and is triple-shielded for maximum performance and ultra low SNR.
Never mind it’s thicker than most cables widely sold because a good cable is meant to be thick. Most 6 FT cables use cheap & thin 30 AWG wiring (10 GBPS), which is not enough for 4K @ 60 Hz. SecurOMax 6 FT cable uses thicker 28 AWG wiring which enables 18 GBPS speed required for 4K @ 60 Hz.
Connectors are 24K gold-plated and soldering points are covered by thick aluminium foil to achieve better shielding and even lower SNR.
Ethernet & Audio Return channels eliminate extra network and audio cables. Less cables means slimmer cable management box!
Supported video resolutions:
✔ Full HD 1080p ✔ Quad HD 1440p ✔ 3D Format ✔ Ultra HD 2160p at up to 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0 ports
This cable also works with:
✔ ANY device bearing the HDMI logo. ✔ ALL revisions of HDMI v2.0, v1.4 & v1.3
Hi. This business of having to get a “premium” cable to get a better picture seemed like a myth to me. After all, the signal being sent down an HDMI cable is digital, not analog like the old hi-fi audio. Well, something happens when you pump digital data very quickly over a cable and it only gets worse as the data rate increases. Data starts to arrive at the end point (ie: TV or monitor) at different times, data lines interfere with nearby lines (crossover) or data reflects back to the sending unit causing retransmission’s and corruption.I’m saying all that to justify why you need this cable over a cheap one. It is absolutely true that a good HDMI cable will yield a better picture and reliability per the points above. This cable in particular is absolutely superb. The thicker gauge wires conduct signal better and the gold-plated connectors improve connectivity. You will immediately notice the difference when you handle this cable. It’s thick and stout, not flimsy like generic cables.I was able to reach full UHD @ 60 Hz signal on my new TV whereas the old HDMI cable had me thinking something was wrong with the TV as it wouldn’t go beyond 2K @ 30 Hz. Even at 1080p, video quality wasn’t all that great. The different is huge with this cable. I highly recommend the 6’ or (for a little more) the 15’ version.
The superior quality of this HDMI cord is immediately apparent upon unboxing. The cord is incredibly thick at 28AWG allowing for data speed of 18Gbps compared to the measly 10gbps of a thinner cord, and is sheathed in a braided material which is a nice touch to protect the cord from abrasion. I have no doubts in my mind that the triple shielded oxygen-free 100% bare copper cables with 24K gold plated connectors will perform great with my 4k TV.
I recently ordered a number of new UHD 4k ready HDMI cables, including this one, to replace my sets that were probably 5+ years old. Formats have evolved since then, particularly the introduction of 4k and HDR. I picked this cable, and the others, specifically bc of their high bandwidth and readiness for 4k UHD and HDR. I also have a 9 year old Onkyo receiver, which I doubt has the passthrough bandwidth to support these new formats. I recently connected my PS4 and PS4Pro directly into my 4k 65 tv [bypassing the receiver thanks to ARC audio return channel] and immediately saw a noticeable difference! How much is the cables vs how much is not going through the receiver I don’t know, but the difference was very noticeable, and I am very happy with this cable and the others that I purchased. I would definitely be willing to buy another if needed, or recommend them to others. I also personally like its aesthetic, and a blue cable is easier to identify is a sea of black cables.
After seeing the prices for HDMI cables in the stores, I thought I’d look online for a better deal. I was excited to see this cable in the length I needed and of a quality I did not expect for the price. Could not be happier! Seller also was very quick to ship item and has offered excellent communication.
Cables making a difference is generally a very controversial subject. Let me tell you, these definitely made a difference. Not because of what they pass through but because of what they keep out. I always had noise in the signal when using cheap unshielded cables but now I get a nice clean signal from sources to my tv. Because I no longer have any noise in the signal, colors look more vivid, resolution is much more defined and dark scenes in movies, which previously revealed noise in the signal, now look superb.I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend these cables to anyone who is having trouble with noise in their signal.Update 4/29/16 I run everything through my receiver therefore I only have one HDMI cable going to my tv. The HDMI cable going to my tv went bad yesterday. I was watching tv through my receiver and when I switched to another input my screen turned black and the signal never came back. I hadn’t moved any wires since connecting them to my receiver so I didn’t even think they would be the culprit. I fiddled around with my receiver and even did a factory reset to no avail. I thought my receiver (SR-5010) had gone bad, extremely frustrating as I had purchased it at the same time I purchased the cables. I let it be over night and started fresh this morning. I went through all the steps I had gone through yesterday and read the instruction manual practically front to back and again nothing. I almost called Marantz to get the RGA process going when it dawned on me I hadn’t checked the cables. As soon as I did, I discovered the cable going from the receiver to tv had gone bad.I bought 5 of these cables in the beginning of February and because it’s past 30 days I cannot return a defective product. As I mentioned, I hadn’t touched the cables since I installed them and I ziptied them in an “o” to prevent any hard kinks. I hope the other four don’t go bad. I will provide an update should another one fail. Because it’s only been a few months and I cannot return a defective item I cannot recommend this item.P.S This story is a reminder that sometimes we tend to overlook the simplest solutions to problems. Had I started the troubleshooting with my cables, I wouldn’t have to spend a few hours reconfiguring my receiver after the factory reset.Update #2 4/29/16 - I have been sent a replacement cable through a pain free process. It is good to see SecureOMax respond so quickly to my dilemma. Rating back to five stars.
We just purchased a 4k TV to replace our old HDTV. I realized I was going to need a 4k cable while researching the TV.I found this cable because it was high on the list of suggested purchases when searching for 4k HDMI cables. I have to say, I’m impressed with it’s design. It is sheathed in cloth and, while not highly flexible, still have plenty of give when trying to reach around corners. The overall construction seems sturdy.I was concerned by another review. It said that the tip of the cable broke after the first use. I imagine that that person got a faulty cord, which can happen as not all systems are perfect. According to what I see, this cord is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone looking for this type of cable.Overall 10⁄10 - can’t find a fault with it
The end of the cable is unnecessarily “fat” which prevents it from being inserted all the way into my LG UHD TV.
Great, It was brought for someone else.
