It’s not smart TV and I wanted to add a Roku to …

I don’t know why Samsung decided to put only 2 HDMI ports on my TV. It’s not smart TV and I wanted to add a Roku to stream Netflix and Amazon video. I have a Direct TV receiver and Blu Ray connected and had no more HDMI ports. This thing works so now I can add the Roku and still have another port open.

Great expansion switch for HDTV

This is the second switch that I bought. It’s great, easy to use and the cord is long enough so that you can plug it into your HDTV and have it sit on the TV stand. You can also mount it on the wall with some velcro or double stick tape (they sell the kind that doesn’t mark up the wall). I have one in the living room for my DVD/VCR, laptop and Amazon Fire Stick. I also have one hooked up to my bedroom TV so that I can switch my Fire TV stick from the living room to the bedroom. All 3 ports work great and the red light indicator lets you know which electronic gadget you have hooked to it. The pictures on the TV are very clear, no noise, or interference. I recommend it for anyone that wants to connect other electronic devices to theirTV. It works great, it’s very light weight and all you have to do is plug it into the HDMI port on the TV and you’re ready to go,

Great customer service

It work for a few weeks but it suddenly died. I’m not sure why.Update: customer service contacted me, volunteered to replace the product. Not many vendors are so gracious and willing to replace defective products. I hope the new one works well.

Great little unit!

I love this thing - and I honestly don’t know how we lived without it. We have an older-style HDTV that only has two hdmi inputs, so we constantly had to yank cables to switch between, say, the xbox and the Blu-ray player. And if we wanted to use the home theater pc, we had to switch inputs to view it. Enter the HDMI splitter. With a little re-wiring - a 5 minute job, tops - we have all three devices connected to the splitter, leaving one still free on the TV. Even better, no more switching inputs with the remote. This unit automatically switches to whatever input it detects a signal from!It’s so nice to not have to reach for the remote to switch inputs anymore. That’s what I think I like the most - turn one unit off, turn another one on, and wham! Like magic, the signal’s already switched over. Who said being lazy doesn’t pay off?

Works perfectly, what more can you want. Easy plug and play and bam you’ve got additional HDMI ports.The switch and live port light work like they should, auto switches to the live port being used, I’m very happy.

Updated Review—Product is Good After All

I previously gave this item a bad review since it arrived and didn’t work, but the customer service team sent me another one that works very well, so I am able to seamlessly connect my tv to Amazon fire stick and my consoles. The quality is good, but I am most impressed with the service that was provided to get this issue corrected. I’ve only tried the product for one day so far, so I’ll see how it continues to perform but so far so good.

Works as stated, the auto-detect works perfectly!

Awesome, plugged in the cables and turned on the TV and home theater, and it started working right away! I didn’t even have to switch it, it detected the input and auto-switched. I left the room for awhile, and the TV was on, but the home theater turned off, so I turned on the xBoxOne, and the screen filled with the xBox startup. I didn’t have to switch it over. Perfect!

Very handy, when you have multiple HDMI outputs

This is very handy, when you have multiple HDMI outputs and as in my case, are limited in the number of inputs on your TV. I use it with a DVD player, a DVD recorder and a Roku box, and so far it’s functioned flawlessly. I have the Roku on the number 3 input, so whichever DVD player I’m using will override its signal when I turn the player on. I had one of these before, from a different brand, and it only lasted about 3 years. I hope I get a little more use out of this one, but really, for the price, if it works as long as the other it’s still a great deal.
