Keeps sweat, rain, rooster tails and sun out of your eyes
Made with our Eventure knit fabric with Eventure elastic back, this is the most comfortable Cycle Cap in the business. Not only will you look good wearing this Cycle Cap, but the Eventure terry sweatband will help keep sweat out of your eyes and off of your face. If you are looking for function and fashion this is your cap. Perfect alone or under a helmet. Reflective strip on bill for additional safety at night. Dries 3 to 4 times faster than cotton.
My old Headsweats hat was simply falling apart after what’s been probably 5-6 yrs. of use, so I bought a new one.(IF I could find the time, I could easily stitch it up as well) The new, all black color looks nice and can be worn like the “cycling caps of old” to keep one’s hair in form, etc. especially after a sweaty ride. I like that I can wear the visor in front to block the sun or turn it around to keep the sun off my neck. They should rename these to Super Soakers, as the hold a bunch of water! When you want to, all you need to do is give it a quick slap against your hand and the water flies out. (maybe I sweat too much?…but they ARE called HeadSweats, aren’t they?)Now that the weather has turned cool (30 degrees this am) I’m stilll wearing it undr my helmet as a warmth layer!
Was very happy with the product when it first arrived even though it ran a little small. However, I must say that this does not hold up well to use… which is definitely important for something that I use and wash frequently. After the first two washes, the bill of the cap lost its shape and turned really filmsy (the inside of the bill feels like it has cardboard in it?)… really wanted to love this, but I wouldn’t recommend this.
My cap fits fine (my hat size is between 7.25 and 7.5). I bought it to wear under a cycling helmet and when doing so I wish with the bill were just a tad longer. On the upside the cap is very lightweight, portable, and the whole thing is as flexible as a wash cloth and even feels a bit like one. Truth is, one could even wet it down and use as a wash cloth, rinse it out and put it back on your head. Consequently these strengths make it feel kind of flimsy and I’ll have to see how well it holds up. But, so far I can say I’m not sorry I bought it. Shipping was quick and efficient.
I wanted to love this cap. I like the look, feel, and construction. I always cycle with a headsweats cap with a larger brim. Wanted to find one with a smaller brim but same construction. This is this cap.The downside is that this cap is smaller than their other caps and after on a few minutes I have a terrific headache. I couldn’t figure out what was happening at first, symptoms were way too sever for tight cap I thought. But then took cap off and symptoms, sever sinus headache and pain in eyes, went away almost immediately. Have repeated several times to confirm results.Too bad, if I could wear this cap I’d love it. I have 7 1⁄8 head; if your head is smaller may be fine.
I do not have a large head, 6 5⁄8”, and this was so tight it immediately gave me a headache. The elastic was really tight, and bunched up in the back like an old pair of jordache mom-jeans. I was trying to stretch it out so the top of my head wouldn’t atrophy, and the bill ripped off. So now I have a really tight du-rag. Not a good product.
Spent two weeks cycling through spain with this hat. It definitely wicks sweat away from your head. I washed it a few times and it dried pretty quickly. The Brim takes a bit longer. The one reflective strip does work pretty well. Don’t know how important it is but at night will get noticed. The brim is actually pretty long compared to some cycling hats. It actually worked well in protecting agains sun. Or flipped up out of the way. It works well under helmet as well if you have an adjustable helmet that can allow for it to loosen or tighten.Others have said what I thought is true. I have a medium round head and this did fit tight at first. After a few days and sweating in it did loosen up and became snug. It is an elastic band so it will wear out and get looser and looser over time. I suggest wetting it and wearing it wet for the first day or just take it out on a good ride and work up a good sweat.Have fun and be safe out there!
I have a big head (7 1⁄2 - 7 5⁄8), and the hat is definitely snug; but not so much that it bothered me on my ride (I recently purchased the hat and today was the first time I wore it on a ride). I expect it to stretch a little with use, like most exercise hats.It fits comfortably under my helmet, and all parts touching your hair and skin fell good and seem to be made well.
This is exactly what I’ve been missing in my bike inventory! I’ve been wearing two cotton Rapha caps and they do not ventilate at all. This cape is stylish with the reflective strip, fit is nice for my L-sized head (other sized heads, beware!), nicely sized visor and best of all, it ventilates!
didn’t fit right
Too small. Had decal not shown in advertisement.
this is my favorite brand of caps. have a bunch in different styles.soakes up the sweat and keeps it out of my eyes.
This is pretty good. The bill is large enough to keep out both sun and rain, but doesn’t obstruct road view.
LOVE IT!
I have headsweats and i have Bicycle caps…this combines them both
LOVE THIS PRODUCT
Perfect to protect a bald head from the hot sun.
Fit well!
