Holy Stone Motors for HS170 Mini Drone (Pack of 4 Pcs)
Holy Stone Motors for HS170 Mini Drone (Pack of 4 Pcs)
You’ll need a soldering iron, skills, and a steady hand to solder these guys onto the board. But, if you can do it properly, then the bigger quads are much easier! You’ll need these motors if you fly your hs170 daily. It’s easy to overheat your motors (especially if you’re fighting a mild breeze outdoors),or take a hard landing into the ground (everyone crashes). Also, if you have a bunch of batteries like I do, then you’ll want to give it rest between batteries… it’s easy to keep putting fresh batteries in without proper cool down time for the motors.Support from holy stone has been prompt and helpful. When I’ve had questions, they’ve been quick to respond. These motors do not last forever, they do wear out. I fly mine as aggressively as possible.
Bought the quadcopter for my father along with some extra parts…this is his review of the motors:In time if not just by wear and tear I got a package of these guys. To meIt just makes sense to have them on hand and not have to order them separatelylater on. The originals that came with the drone are going to wear out with use orthey can burn out if you don’t cool them down. That’s just the way it is with any ofthese quadcopters. I like Holy Stone stuff but even they can’t make a product thatwill last forever.
I have to admit that I haven’t needed one yet. I ordered these because I was expecting the HS170 to be like other copters I own in this class. Their motors are built exceptionally well and for the price knowing I have spares if I need them is nice. This is the copter I take with me on the go just in case I get the urge to fly. I like to keep spare parts with me but am thrilled that I’m not spending near as much on them as I was with other similar copters. Any by that, I mean I’ve gone through less spare parts with this one than any other I’ve bought. Great quality. I’m not afraid to fly it hard and risky because I know it can take a beating.
Our weekend project with my 10 year old soldering to fix his broken drone. Perfect motor replacement for ours. Perfect learning experience and father-son bonding.
Ordered these when I burned up a motor in my HS170. Perfect replacement. Take out a few screws, pop the bottom off, remove the old motor and solder in the new one. The wires and points where you attach them are pretty small, buts that’s to be expected considering the size of the drone. Whole process took 10 minutes or less and I was back in the air.
I’m sure they were great! I sent them back because I fly the HS170 outside for the first flight and at the time I did not have the expierence to fly in a breeze without altitude assist. MY BAD. Well, I wish I never sent them back because I later bought another hs170 and i am skilled enough to enjoy it. THANKS HOLY STONE. Im sure I’ll be buyong a set sooner or later. The hs170 is becoming my favorite little drone i fly
Fast delivery. Motors are easy to install. Small screwdriver and a soldering iron are the only tools required. The 4 pack includes 2 clockwise and 2 counterclockwise rotating motors. I am still very happy with my drone purchase. I only had to replace a motor because I pulled it out while trying to remove a propeller without using the propeller removal tool. Otherwise no repair would have been necessary. Great drone, great company.
I had a motor go bad, I got these to replace it.It might be helpful to know that if you buy extra batteries in order to fly the drone for a few charges in a row, you risk burning up the motors. The drone needs to cool down. I realized this after 2 motors went bad, but now I give it about 10 minutes between flights and no more issues with motors.
work as they should
amazingly small
Just a quick solder and we were set
Perfect replacements.
Haven’t needed as the originals are still working fine.
Simple to replace, worked fine after the first attempt.
good
Worked perfectly! I spliced and soldered the wires together instead of soldering the board.
These will not work with the hs170c predator 2 they are too small.
