Great fan for eliminating bike-commuting-clothing stench and saving the world from evil fungus in small, enclosed spaces
I bought this fan to use in my work locker to dry out my bike commuting clothes. Previously, you could smell my stinky clothes from across the room and I’m sure that some evil fungus was setting up shop in my locker. I bought this fan and had a spare 13000 mA USB battery pack for power, and it drives this little fan for 8-10 hours on the 1A output. I have used this little fan every day for ~6 months and it does exactly what I need. The stench is gone, and I no longer fear that I am I unleashing a foul fungus on the world.

Solid little travel fan!
I recently travelled from Detroit to Oakland and wanted a small, portable fan that I could take with me. I’m one of those people who has to have a fan running in order to fall asleep. Also, as this was a business trip, I also wanted something that I could use in the office. This little fan from Honeywell did the trick. It features one speed only (which is sufficient), can be powered via a proprietary (boo!) USB cable or two AA batteries, and comes with a handle that can be used to hang the fan or as a stand. I used the handle as a stand and found that I could adjust it exactly how I wanted. For being such a small fan it still managed to produce a decent amount of air flow. Also, while not the loudest thing around, it still made enough noise for me to fall asleep every night. My only real gripe is the cheap, proprietary USB cable used to power the fan. A standard micro-USB would have been a far better choice. This fan is terrific. It keeps my computer cool and when I get too over heated, which I easily suffer from heat stroke, I turn it to me and can even take this camping with me. Useful in so many ways that you need to get it and try it out yourself.
This is tough to beat for the performance at this price.
This fan is wonderful. Being battery operated allows you to place the fan at whatever angle you choose, and run it. If you choose to not use batteries, you can use the included USB power adapter. You just won’t have the flexibility of placement. And for those that are concerned with the wastefulness of using batteries, I use rechargeable batteries.I wish it had variable speeds, but at this price point, that ’s merely a quibble and no reason to not appreciate it for what it is. It’s also surprisingly quiet for the amount of airflow.
Powerful Portable Fans
These personal fans are powerful for their size and make a huge difference in hot weather. I bought two to bring to Peru with me this past spring and I would have bought more of them if I had known that our hotel did not have A/C. They are battery powered which made them portable and useful during our site-seeing visits. They also have a plug in feature which we used at night while we slept, this was great since we didn’t have to waste batteries at night. Definitely a great purchase for traveling and to stay cool on a hot day.

Efficient portable fan with either USB cable or battery power. I used the included USB cable to connect with Jackery Air Premium Ultra-thin Aluminum Portable Charger 5000mAh External Battery Backup Power Bank. High Capacity, Fast Charging. For Apple iPhone 6 Plus, 6, 5S, 5C, 5, 4S, iPad, Air, Mini, Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Note, Nexus, LG, HTC, Moto. (Orange), and the fan ran for 8 hours straight on a full charge. In fact, you can take out the battery pack and the 4 AA batteries when running the fan on USB cable power, which greatly decreases the weight of the fan; this is important when you are carrying it while walking in a hot environment. The base folds 180 degrees so it can be used as a stand as illustrated at different angles, folded flat against the back to eliminate it, or straightened out so the fan can be carried by a handle. This feature increases the flexibility of use unlike other fans of this size. Finally, the button on-off switch is less likely to become an accidental “on” compared to slide on-off switches used on other fans.

Would suggest just about any other fan out there over this one - USB wise it’s pretty lame but good for maybe a desktop environment where the AC is decent but just not quite enough.The convenience of USB is nice but so is an actual fan that blows enough air lolI purchased one with a rechargeable battery (EH 101 from Elechomes) that literally blows this one away. Variable speed and a lot more air for those of us who buy fans for that purpose.I would have returned it but I apparently waited like 3 days too long!
