What good is it if you can’t install it?

Whether or not the product works as intended (which to be fair, it appears to be) is almost irrelevant due to the absolutely atrocious design flaw surrounding installation. The VR Cover website gives a nice looking video that makes installation look like a breeze, but it also makes it look like the Vive has no velcro whatsoever holding the facemask in place beneath the VR Cover. They expect you to push little tabs of fabric between the velcro of the facemask and the headset, but doing this without getting things stuck to the rest of the velcro is either an arcane science or a rarified form of performance art. And the really fun part is that you have to do this every time you wash it, and I expect to be washing it far more regularly than I would a less absorbent covering.What this really needs is to have washable elastic straps that you place on the facemask before installing it onto the Vive. As it is, it’s just a piece of fabric that never seems like it’s fitting properly.

For context, I lost my first HMD due to sweat damage. The faux leather masks were partially to blame as they don’t absorb sweat… it lets sweat drip right into the lenses. They are great for light sharing though since they can be wiped down easily.This product though is perfect for the sweaters out there that will be using their vive a lot. Your hmd will get gross, and this will help absorb and protect your hmd while also being washable.

Life Saver

A bit cumbersome when first learning how to install them on the HTC Vive head piece. Once I figured it out, it made a huge difference when sharing the head piece with others. The sponge collects sweat when playing and the cover helps eliminate that issue. Gross Sweat be gone. :)

It smelled like barbeque chips when I got it out maybe its just me but whatever I like it. Also leather may be a smarter idea if you sweat alot because although this works well for a couple hours after using it for a full day it is absolutely soaked and my cold sweat is well, cold and wet, but it works great because you get two in a package, so I also keep some other pairs around for when guests use it and so that they can get washed.

100% satisfied. Product does exactly what it claims to do, and looks pretty good as well. It’s just as comfortable as the foam without a cover and it doesn’t get in the way at all. The replacement foam that came with the Vive will probably go unused forever since these are machine-washable.

I sweat a great deal when playing the vive and the original foam insert gets soaked. This cover really helps with absorbing sweat and makes the vive more comfortable at the same time.

This product is to rough for long periods to be worn. I think the closest fabric I can relate to this is burlap.

Hard to put on, I wouldn’t recommend.
