Product Reviews

Great for its price - few cons, but nothing to outweigh the pros.

To start the review off, I’ve been using this case for about 3 months now. I bought it for the full price of $50 or so dollars. It arrived in one day, on time and un-damaged, which is what is usually to be expected from amazon.Over the three months I’ve used this case it has protected my tablet well, no damage has been taken and the silicon shell covering the hard case remained firm. So over all this case does what you’d expect it to do, it protects your tablet, and for the price it is at currently, $20 dollars, it is one of the better cases out there. That being said, lets wrap up the review with some pros and cons.Pros:- Fair price- good protection- allows access to all ports on galaxy note 2014 - minus the SD slot card- has kickstand that stays firmly latched when not in useCons- For some, they might want a screen protector to come with it, this is not the case. Was not a big deal for me.- The kickstand, if not careful, can eventually scratch the leather on the back of your tablet. It did not on mine, because I was careful, however it does slightly rub on the leather.- Kickstand sometimes does not unlatch easily - feels like it is about to snap sometimes when trying to set up.- Hard case is hard to unlock without nearly breaking. I needed access to my SD slot so I had to take it a part, was a little more of a pain then needed and accidentally scratched my tablet side with the screw driver I was using (my fault, but be warned it can be a pain). Conclusion:To conclude the review in a short summary, this is one of the better cases out there for the Samsung Galaxy note 12.2 2014 tablet. It offers good protection for the price. There are a few cons, though minor, should be noted for those purchasing the case.

Surprisingly good case, especially considering the price

Surprisingly good case, especially considering the price. No screen protector like the Otterbox, but as long as you know that going in it’s fine. This is a great complement to the Note Pro 12.2 because it gives you something to hold on to. The Samsung Note Pro 12.2 is a gorgeous device, but not easy to hold, it’s so large that you’ll either cover the speakers with your hand when you grab it (landscape view) or you’ll hit the capacitive buttons accidentally (portrait view). This case gives a really good tactile feel so you know you’re holding something, and it’s edges are raised so you won’t end up with your hand where you wish it weren’t. Great product. It is super mad crazy hard to remove. Unless you figure out the trick. Which I did. Please note.(After you remove the rubber sheath) you can start with the coin slots located on the top right or bottom left corners. That part is obvious. The trick is to not try to remove the front plastic half from the back, but to remove the back plastic half from the front. The back half will flex, if you bend it from 1 inch below the snap-seam. Doing it this way, it comes apart as you would expect, reasonably easily. …I hope that explanation was helpful.

Keeping it simple but doing it right

My own objectives for a case were for it to be as minimal as possible while providing both protection and a graspable surface. I explored about a half dozen units and was disappointed with most.. They were either too massive, too slick, or poorly braced for table top use. The rotatable units were particularly disappointing since those designs fail to work well with the proportions of the 12.2 tablet. Given the current solutions to portrait/landscape bracing, I am settling on living with landscape only……….it is the only design that works simply and well. This particular design is surprisingly robust given its rather limited feature list. It basically serves only to create a good protective bumper around the Note 12.2 and a slick, retractable, landscape(only) kickstand. The 3-piece design is precise and clever and leaves the tablet in a very durable suit. It is not as light as some silicone sleeves but it provides a great graspable profile that is both secure and comfortable. The designers should be complimented for keeping it simple but doing it well. An excellent solution to a narrow problem.

It’s a Steal for $20!

I bought this last month when I purchased my Galaxy Note 12.2 and I can’t be happier with this purchase. This is a dual case– a soft-cover interior and a hard outer case. All of the tablet’s ports are unobstructed and easily accessible.**There are a couple of things to know about this. If you’re considering a Otterbox for your 12.2– that is $75 and this is only $20 for the same protection.* And, like the Otterbox, this case adds significant weight to the tablet. So, you won’t be holding the tablet for long stretches, but that the trade-off with this kind of protection.* This rugged case also has a kickstand. After having this now for the better part of almost a month, I can say the kickstand is the weakest part of this system. This could have been fortified because it’s now somewhat loose and under the wrong situation it’ll snap from the weight or if you use it while doing a lot of work. (I would only use the kickstand rarely and opt for a portable tablet stand– Cable Matters has some new ones that are great.)* The case is so firmly secure that it’s difficult to pry open. The best way to get this open (only way?) is to look for an indent opening on the lower portion of the backside– where there’s no port of speaker and start to pry it from there. Once you get that open work around the edges VERY carefully. My suggestion is to do as much as you need to do while the case is off and keep it locked up until you really need to get to the tablet itself.Otherwise, this is a great, great investment and certainly a much better value than the Otterbox.

A bit disappointed.

I really like the case itself, very heavy duty and looks professional. The reason i did not give 5 stars is because after a couple of weeks the prop up stand broke.

Very happy with how fast seller shipped item out and the way they packaged it up no issues there,As far as the product itself its very cheap feeling the rubber outter sleeve…

Perfect. Just what I needed for my tablet

Perfect. Just what I needed for my tablet. It is not a common size so I was glad to find this. Very quick delivery as promised.

Great case, only one problem, Sucks!

Great case, only one problem, No Front Screen Cover. Seems to me that would be the first thing to protect. My fault for not looking closer.

Great Case!

I received my case yesterday and absolutely love it. The double protection for my tablet is reassuring, and I love the solid kickstand (no slipping out of place).

Money well spent!

Beats an Otterbox. I’m very happy with this product!

It was very easy to assemble

Just what I had been looking for. It was very easy to assemble.

Four Stars

Would of been more convenient if it came with instruction.
