Requires (not included): A deep cycle marine 12 volt battery with at least 60 ampere hours rating.
The Intex Trolling Motor is the perfect addition to an Intex boat, and is able to fit most Intex boat models, including: the Challenger 3; the Seahawk 2, 3, 4; the Excursion 3, 4, 5 and the Mariner 3 and 4 boats. This extremely quiet motor has a digital maximizer control module and water cooling system that supply only the necessary power this motor needs in order to go the desired speed making the motor more efficient and providing longer running times. The boater will be able to, more effectively, control the boat speed in changing environments as well. The motor’s “Soft Start” function helps to increase the motor’s life through limiting how fast the motor can go from “OFF” to “ON.” Suitable for freshwater and saltwater adventures, the tilt⁄extend tiller makes handling a breeze and the weed escape mode helps the motor get out of weed tangles.
The Intex Trolling Motor is compatible with most inflatable boats that have built-in motor mount fittings. Includes: A control panel with the following controls: Battery meter, automatic escape weed control key, dry operation protect, overload protect. Adjustable handle: Handle tilts upward: 45, 30, 15, 0 degrees . Handle tilts downward: 0 - 75 degrees. Handles extends 6 inches (15cm). Handle speed control: Forward: 5 speeds, OFF, Reverse: 3 speeds. Permanent magnet motor: Digital maximizer control module. Water cooling system. Adjustable mounting bracket: Clamp Screws, Tilt Lock lever, Quick release depth collar and lever arm, Steering tension knob.
Maximum Power (W): 420W. Voltage: 12V DC. Thrust: 40 lbs/180N. Shaft length in inches: 36 (91.40cm). Suitable for: Freshwater and saltwater. Requires (not included): A deep cycle marine 12 volt battery with at least 60 ampere hours rating.
We purchased this motor in June 2016 and used it twice that summer. This summer we used it once and found that it would start, run for 20 seconds and then stop. In an attempt to find out what the problem might be found Intex to be on no help. The manual’s troubleshooting section did not address this problem nor was a solution to be found when googling it on the internet. Searching for a more detailed schematic of the motor failed to come up with a diagram. When examining the motor in more detail found that if it was connected to the battery and run outside of the water it ran fine. The propellor moved through all speeds forward and back. As soon as it was submerged in water it would start, run for a few seconds and stop. Looks like this product will have to be trashed after essential 2 (short 20 min) uses. Very disappointed in the product and the company’s support system.
Unfortunately the product didn’t work. It only had one speed when we used it, so it didn’t work for fishing. We missed the return window on Amazon because we were trying to use it while we were on vacation. We submitted a warranty claim to Intex. Hopefully we get one that works. I will update my review after we receive a trolling motor that works.
Works well and gets me around lake
Bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He went to use it for the first time yesterday morning and it does not work. At All.
Works good, used it 3 trips so far. Can’t beat the price.
Not very good quality. It stops frequently when changing speeds. Save your money and go for a minkota
Broke before the first use, buy the minnkota
works great. it pushed us along the river just fine. love that it is so quiet.
First few weeks were great, but last weekend i went to depress the red tilt button to lower the motor into the water and it snapped.
This motor Quit twice one Me.I had to row back home 2 times . I liked it before it quit on me. I ordered a Minn Cota
This trolling motor is horrible. Purchased as a Christmas present for my son on his Intex Mariner boat. We didn’t use the motor until April for the first time when it got warm.
Power, size as stated. Camewell packaed and with instructions.
Worked very well for a year. Now it will shut off after several seconds as if the out of water safety mode is being activated.
This should last me FOREVER, excellent made
I did a lot of homework on these. Ended up purchasing Minn Kota Endura MAX. Paid $140 (after hitting their site for a $20 rebate).
comments powered by DisqusThis motor is awesome. Powerful enough to haul a boat with 4 people and doesn’t take that much energy out of the battery.
