good for light laundry, socks, undies, etc.not good for towels, dengarees….

A good quality product, but the design could be improved.

Bought this for a month long trip to rural India. Definitely a better option to bucket washing my clothes; but there are a few things that could be done better.The GOOD: The jug is good quality and hollow, so it’s light weight and durable. The crank handle comes off and can be used to tighten or loosen the cap on the jug. And the rollers are effective in making it very easy to rotate the handle.The OK: You really need to set this on a counter or table top when using. When I tried using it while sitting on the floor, it’s a little harder to rotate and it tends to come off the rollers.ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: It’s difficult to clean and dry the jug. After using the washer, I wanted to use it to store my detergent, soap, bleach, and other cleaning supplies; but I couldn’t because I could never dry off the inside of the jug. Opposite of the lid jug is a handle and a drain. The handle is hollow, and tends to hold water. It can’t be easily cleaned or dried. The hole to drain is a nice idea, but it’s also a crevasse that can’t be easily cleaned and dried. After first use, I put the lid on the jug and opened it a few days later to discover a very sour odor. (Thankfully, I had bleach on hand.) I would not recommend it to clean gross items (like cloth diapers). If the jug were a little bit better designed, this would have been really great to make mango lassi at parties.
