Great value for hobbyist

The strength of this sanding kit is price - no way about it. These are good enough arbors, wheels and sand drums for hobby use (I wouldn’t recommend for commercial applications or production environments) with a Dremel (I use a Proxxon, b.t.w.). However, these are not Foredom quality so if you’re into professional wood carving you would be well served to investigate further. However, I’m a hobbyist (wooden puzzles, intarsia, compound cutting, light sculpting, etc. ) so i don’t challenge my Proxxon much. For me, these are great. And at ~$7 for the entire set, I’m entirely satisfied. The only weakness is that the sand sleeves tend to slide off the rubber mandrels with use which is a minor hassle. But given the price, that’s to be expected. I mitigate against this by rubbing the rubber with denatured alcohol once in awhile. There is also a micro flap sander drum that I use a lot - also on Amazon. 10 sleeves and mandrel are about $7 or so as I recall. I use these for most of the heavier material removal because they are more sturdy than these are, and then use these for the finishing work because of the convenience of the 3 sizes. These smaller drums are indispensable for finish sanding on fine scroll saw work like fretwork.

Drum set

If you are going to use these, you must wear safety goggles!! The sanding drums rip apart after a minute or two and the pieces fly everywhere, very dangerous. I ended up throwing them out after the fourth one came apart. They are junk. Only buy Dremel sanding bands. You get what you pay for.Hope this helps.

Mandrels okay, drums not!

The sanding drums fly apart, often just from turning the tool on and before even touching anything. So far, I haven’t had one last long enough to complete a sanding job. They have hit me in the face and I don’t even consider them safe. I am throwing them away and buying some from a new source, hopefully better made.

Low Quality

The most low quality tools that I’ve ever purchased. I’m sure they are not designed to use with Dremel products at all and it’s not about fitting or size matters, it’s about quality which is so low.Be careful because the drum can slip off in your first attempt and it can injure your face or body. You should spend more to get the original drums or at least better quality. Unhappy buyer.

Tip - I also learned that it is better to loosen the screw on the sanding tube when …

The first sanding drum I used on plastic to remove a small amount of material and within 20 seconds of sanding the little sanding drum came apart at the seems. I’m guessing either the drum was cheaply made, or the plastic heated up and caused the glue to fail on the sanding drum causing the paper to come apart. It did what I needed it to do but a bit disappointing to see a drum come apart so quickly.Tip - I also learned that it is better to loosen the screw on the sanding tube when you are finished with it and put your tools away. If you leave it tightened it can cause the rubber to stay squished causing it to be difficult later on when you want to change sanding paper.

A DO NOT buy!

Just poor quality. I thought that they would be a good purchase because they are so much less expensive than the Dremel brand (way overpriced) but they are not. I will continue to look for a brand that is somewhere between the two.

Don’t buy this item

This item is very danger, because in high revolution or more or less hot the band break and may cause injuries.

Not good for peicures

I bought this for use with my Dremel for pedicures. The bits and sanding pieces do not fit together well and allow for slippage therefore making the pedicure process difficult, especially for proper control. I wish I had returned them in time for a refund. They may work better for other purposes, but not for pedicures.

Lots of stuff

Highly Diappointing!!!

I have to admit that when I saw the price on this sanding set, that everything within me said they are probably not made well. But, I did not listen to my 6th sense.

better wear safty goggles with these as the drums don’t fit right and will fly off and could put an eye out.
