Not useful for cutting through thin metal.

Got to cut thin sheet steel in my car. Tools used to “hold” the cutting discs did not seem to fit into half the discs then the screws stripped after half a dozen uses. Ended up going out and purchasing drimal cutters set. Works well with the tool but overall caused more difficulty then it was worth. Use of other bits has worked better.

Almost

This is an OK set for light to medium duty use. The tool itself really got hot when using the cutting disc to cut some sheet stainless steel. The tool appeared to ‘bog’ down quite a bit without having much pressure applied. Again the rating will depend on your use, for me it is OK, but if you want heavy duty - then Dremel is the only way to go.

For home owner use

For the person who only uses this sparingly, This item would be good for them. You can’t beat the price with all the accessories. If you will be using this daily, or at least once a week, I would suggest the Dremel Brand. This is lower quality, and the speed dial did not work right on mine. Had to send it back

Great tool for the money

A very good dremmel clone. Minor quality issues such as the label sticker was half off when I received it, will not stay on. Minor issue aside, it works great without the high dremmel name price.

Our shop lady loves it.

We’ve got an employee who is the kinda fix it all person and she wanted a dremel thing since she had brought in her own from home. I got this for her. She loves it and I like all the bits and pieces that come with it. I tried it out on something and approve of this kit’s quality. I can understand some of the other reviews’ concerns, but we are nice to our tools and try to never over-use them. I’ve got tools 20+ years in use and this feels like it’s in the league of good quality home-use type of tools.We buy industrial grade tools when the use is daily or extreme. If this were to be used like that, I feel it wouldn’t suffer abuse well.

pretty bad if you ask me

The Kawasaki 840589 190-Piece Rotary stop work today 05/11/17 it’s the second time i used it. I was polishing a ring and it just stop working.I read all instructions and follow all procedures. I don’t know how long ago but it’s been a while since i purchase the Kawasaki 840589 190-Piece Rotary but its the second time i used it and it just turn off while i was working, pretty bad if you ask me. I don’t know how can i fix this devices but i just can’t believe that i use it for the second time ever and it just die. Awful and sad i’m really disappointed with this product.

Great value and fine drill bit assortment

High quality drill with an excellent assortment of drill bits & attachments. Great value when total item is considered. Storage / carrying case works fine. Lower cost alternative to the standard Dremel brand that dominates the industry.

It works well

I bought this to replace my Craftsman high speed rotary tool. That one was wiped out by Super storm Sandy. When I saw the price of this kit and all it contains, I had to try it. I am happy I did. I can’t speak for longevity, but, I have used it to install a couple of locks and it’s still working. The handle is very comfortable in my hand.

Yes the bits that come in the box are garbage. The tool itself beats the pants off of a real Dremel. I’ve kad my Kawasaki since 2005 and abuse it almost daily.
