Way better than the old 60⁄40 stuff. This solder is great for through-hole use. Great diameter which is small enough to be precise on some of the finer soldering jobs out there, such as soldering headers to a Nano. It flows and bonds great. Other than possibly trying a lead-free solder, this will be my go-to solder for years to come.

Since I have the Kester 44, the solder joints are bright and shiney, and soldering is a breeze.Cudos to Kester, and too the supplier that made my day easier.ANG

Kester solder
I purchased this because of some reviews I read. And I am glad I did, this solder works like a dream and will be the only solder I purchase to put into my tool box. It has a flux core center which makes it a breeze to work with.

I’ve always had a hard time soldering. I have tried many varieties of solder and flux as well as different irons/guns. I just figured that’s how it was. I just used this Kester 63⁄37 today along with some new Rubyfluid soldering paste and wow, night and day difference. Just finished repairing several broken wires in a automotive wiring harness and I actually enjoyed the soldering work this time. This solder melts quick and flows nice. It’s expensive but worth every penny.
