This unit does everything mentioned in the advert for it once you figure it out.Set up was easy for me because this is my second item from this company, but I struggled initially with the first one due to the instructions and difficulty login into the APP (hence minus one star) until I figured it out.Battery life claim is based on using DEEP SLEEP mode. Basically like turning it off, no GPS, no cellular function and you cannot communicate with it until it wakes up due to motion trigger.Otherwise battery will only last few days to few weeks depending on use, location etc. Just as some are reporting. I am using DEEP SLEEP mode, my battery drain is only about 1-3% in a week (about 2-3 wake up triggers each day and 2-3 hours daily commute). I very rarely do live tracking with it.I resolved the setup issues this way:FULLY charge the unit and read the instruction manual completely before starting.Then followed these steps in the order shown.For those currently having issues, I recommend to factory reset the unit first by sending the “ default ” command to the unit, see manual.Activated SIM card and put it in cellphone, to make sure it works for text & Data, +/- Voice.Find the APN for the SIM card. I believe the APN is case sensitive.Once SIM is confirmed to work, installed SIM in the Tracker unit, power turned on, waited at least 2-4 minutes for it to provision the SIM card.Downloaded their APP to smartphone, opened the APP then click REGISTER HERE.Then APN SETTING (you need to do this FIRST so the unit is then able to connect to their server to register etc).Country code: +1 , SIM Phone#: 718***** (10 digit SIM phone #, no space or dash) (USA munber)APN : apnnameUsername:Password:Leave username and password blank. SUBMIT.Next Click REGISTER ACCOUNTDevice Country code: +1SIM Phone#: 718******* (10 digit SIM phone #, no space or dash)Master Country code: +1.Master CELL Phone#: 929******* (10 digit cell phone #, no space or dash)Password: ****** (default is 123456)Confirm password: ***Then click REGISTER.Opened APP and select LOGIN.Username: +1929**** (Country code and 10 digits of your MASTER CELL phone#)password: ****** (default password)Here is where many people have problems with the APP, I also had trouble initially.If you get login errors or not able to login, try changing the country code on the login page using either of (e.g. for USA):A. 001 instead of +1 orB. 1 instead of +1These will be different for different countries.Whichever works for you is what you have to use for future login, so take note of it when you successfully log in.Once logged in you should see the GPS tracker, if not go online to their website, use the same login info and then select SETTINGS then DEVICE SETTINGS then ADD DEVICE. Enter the Serial # and Device IMEI found on sticker attached to device, and SAVE.Go back to the APP, LOGOUT and login again and it should all be okay.
Worst experience!!!!! Nobody knew what was the correct card for this device, I got the card I was instructed to (pre-paid) and it turned out to be incorrect. So now I’m out the cost of the unit & the pre-paid card!!! I also fully charged the unit when I got it and by the time I got a card (about 45 days) the battery was completely dead so don’t believe the 1 year battery life they claim.
very bad tracker the battery no longer than 12 days and the application use less.i pay 189$ for bad tracker.
no where did it say I had to have AT&T service. I have Verizon and it wont work.
Worked for 2 weeks then nothing do to the change in the son card changes now I can’t get it to work why we could t he sell me somethi ng that becomes obsolete
