THE BEST HAND MIXER I’VE EVER OWNED - OR EVEN SEEN

I’ve been through many brands of hand mixers over the years. Some are terrible. Some are OK.Some brands:1. are a pain to clean2. don’t mix worth a darn3. splatter4. jam5. stink6. burn out7. make enough noise to wake the dead.I won’t name names, but if you’re shopping for a hand mixer, you may know at least one of those I’m talking about. For the above reasons, I was without a hand mixer for quite a while after my last one died. Working with my wire whisk and wooden spoons, I wasn’t actually shopping, just cruising in case maybe I saw one that looked like a better idea. I figured I couldn’t afford a Kitchen Aid, but I did look at them, wistfully, from time to time. Then I saw this one. I couldn’t believe it sold for under $20. It’s lightweight and easy to hold. It’s balanced that so long mixing doesn’t strain my arm muscles or make my fingers go numb. The beaters are uniquely shaped, easy to clean, and work extremely well, even on law speed.Remember the list of bad mixer attributes above? Well, this mixer doesn’t have ANY of those traits. To wit:1. It’s easy to clean because the beaters are shaped to avoid splatters. The cabinet is enclosed so no food gets up past the beaters, which are a breeze to clean with no finger pain and cramping.2. The mixing action of the uniquely shaped betters makes mixing easy and fast.3. There is no splatter to speak of, again because of the shape of the beaters, wider on the bottom, tending to pull the food down from the sides of the bowl.4. I haven’t had any trouble with jamming, even in cookie dough. Obviously, the gears and other internal parts are good quality, especially the motor.5. This unit has no strong plastic odors. The lubrication odor was noticeable on Day One, but dissipated.6. I can’t imagine a Kitchen Aid burning out.7. Noise? What noise. This unit has a moderate buzz-hum that isn’t annoying. One other thing, it has an adjustable cord holder that can be used left or right handed. On top of all that, it’s pretty. What else can I say? If you want an all purpose, good quality hand mixer that should last a long time, this is the one.

Perfect - don’t pay a penny more!

KitchenAid has, I think, about four different variants of this mixer, each at different price points, and with different features (speed, accessories, etc.).I guess the not-so-secret secret is that they are all the same model - the same motor, and a similar mould - but with some hardware caps put in place. As a consequence, this cheapest model will perform just as great as the more expensive one.So if you are looking for a reliable, small, convenient mixer, search no more. If you need to whisk eggs, the speed of this mixer is completely appropriate (unlike what is implied to make you want to buy the more expensive models), and you simply need to graph the KitchenAid KHMPW Whisking Accessory.Bought this a year ago, and it is still working fine, and never have I thought that I needed to trade up.

Not Powerful Enough

I read the reviews & bought this mixer. I assumed it would do what I needed it to, it does ok, but I need more power. I’m giving it to a friend who doesn’t bake much. I have the 5qt Atrisan, love it, but still like having a hand mixer for quick jobs. It creamed cookie dough ok & cream cheese frosting, very smooth. I just don’t think I’ll be happy long term. If you don’t bake much, but need a basic mixer, this one is fine. The price is great. It’s very well made, sleek, & quiet.

Good slow low speed

Has a nice slow first setting so things don’t fly all over the place when you first turn it on. It does a good job for a basic mixer. I don’t think it would be good for tough or sustained use like my heavier-duty mixer does but that more powerful Oster is really fast on the low setting which is what I wanted to accomplish by buying this one. I just wanted a simple slower mixer and this one works very well.

Hand Mixer

Love It!

I do like the beaters and the speeds

I got this to replace my old hand mixer that is more than 30 years old, made in the USA. We’ll see how this one holds up. I do like the beaters and the speeds. Have made a two layer chocolate cake w/chocolate icing (from scratch) and a chocolate cream pie, so far.

Just not like they used to be

Seems to be working pretty good - but not near as strong as my old one :(

So convenient!

My daughter received this from us this year. She loves it her new mixer, and I love the Wish List so we don’t have to go through returns after Christmas. She loves to bake so this mixer is already well broken in and my daughter is satisfied with everything about this mixer. Great variety of speed, and well known Brand guarantees quality,

3-Speeds: Slow, Slower and Slowest

I bought one of these to make some frosting, it has three speeds: slow, slower and slowest. It would barely mix the softened cream cheese and butter, my arm was aching by the…KitchenAid KHM312WH 3-Speed Hand Mixer - White

Five Stars

good to use and light weight

Four Stars

works great - just like the one I replaced it with.

Better than pulling out the pedestal mixer

Handy for lightweight mixing. Better than pulling out the pedestal mixer.

Five Stars

Good stuff, easy to use, better than other products, etc.

Right out of the box I had a hard time …

Right out of the box I had a hard time inserting the beaters. Once ready I plugged it in and turned it on low, then medium, then high.

Five Stars

perfect size and a reliable brand. I highly recommend this product for occasional use.

KitchenAid

Love it. Use it often when the task is easier than using my big KitchenAid mixer

Not Great

It was very cheap, so not fair to compare to more expensive model that I had that died. But it’s pretty weak. Won’t buy again.
