Check if the device could be power on before assemble the screen,if okay,then power off and tear off the protective film on the lcd and then assemble the screen.if not,release the ribbon cable and connect again. The scratches, letters or numbers on the screen will go away after the protective film is removed.

Well, I would say that this LCD did a swell job. Once on, I didn’t seem much of a difference.
So finally my iPad Mini LCD gave in. The digitizer first got destroyed by my little 2 year old. I should have fixed that right away since at that time, the LCD was working fine still. Well, I would say that this LCD did a swell job. Once on, I didn’t seem much of a difference.Pros:- Great replacement LCD for your iPad Mini.- Fits snug and works on command as the Amazon ad states.- A bit less durable feeling than the OEM LCD but everything works for now so I guess we’ll see down the road.Cons:- Not exactly like OEM but paid less than half than OEM so not complaining.- The tools in the picture never came…only got LCD.I think people who just want a quick cheap replacement for their iPad Mini LCD should buy this. I mean, if the LCD broke, you will probably need to get the Touch Glass Digitizer so might as well try to save some money. If you end up buying super expensive ones for both, might as well just buy a whole new iPad Mini or a used one. =)

this was a cheaper way to replace my screen for my apple ipad. I cant afford to go to the store and pay for a more expensive screen and service. This may take time putting in place but once you get it it works well. Get help from a friend if you have trouble.

Broke on arrival
LCD was already malfuntioning when I put it on my kids iPad mini. Half of the screen looks normal half with “lines”
