Don’t pay more than $350

The product is AWESOME - the price gauging isn’t. You can buy this set directly from Lego Education for $350.

Best choice for robotics hobbyists.

If you are experimenting with robotics you should get this rather than the consumer version. This set contains some more interesting sensors (gyro, ultrasonic) and most importantly an AC power supply. It also includes the hard to find link belt. It does not include the “decorative” wings etc, that come with the consumer version.

Just like the Home kit software, the core kit software is a also a free download from education dot lego dot com slash en-us slash educationdownloads slash. You will need a LEGO ID.

Great Product, One Problem

The product was very good… The only problem I had was that there were a few peices that were supposed to be there and were not.

Too hogh price

Price for this item is too much. But it directly from Lego store.

Frustratingly buggy interface

We purchased this set through lego education for our 10 year old son after he attended a robotics camp. We have had a difficult time with the software, both on the computer and Ipad. On the computer the programs were taking over an hour to download to the EV3. With the Ipad the Bluetooth would say it was connected but then would error when trying to load a program. Very frustrating but probably a good lesson in things not working as they are supposed to. We will be returning it.
