Amazing toy

We purchased this for our grandson’s 8th birthday. They came to visit for 10 days and he and his grandma put it together in one week. It was very educational–he now knows about drive lines, rear ends, u-joints, pistons etc. etc. There were some frustrating times, when we would put something together backwards and have to tear apart and make a section over, so it is very important to follow the illustrations exactly. There were 1308 pieces and we were one piece short, perhaps we used a long piece, where we should have used a short piece, but Grandpa saved the day with a small screw and nut!!! Our grandson loved to play with the self-loader and steer the truck when it was done, now he can’t wait to take it home to show his other grandpa–who works in the logging industry.READ MORE

My son loved it.

Very nice kit with lots of mechanical complexity to challenge young minds.Expensive (would have been 5 stars otherwise), but hey, so is X-BOX. But XBOX does not educate.
