Works well

This was on the Lenovo site as the DVD burner for the Lenovo Yoga. I was concerned with most of the others I looked at, since they didn’t actually say the software/drivers supported Windows 8 or 8.1. So, I went with this since the Yoga came with 8.1 installed.The only drawbacks are:1. It is a slide-out tray instead of a slide-in disk. No problems, just a preference.2. It isn’t Blu-Ray (but when you look at the cost of the media, that’s not an issue for me).It reads fast, burns fast, etc. It is USB 2.0, which is all you need for a DVD, anyway.

Outstanding value and performance

This exceeded my expectations. Fairly small/compact. Very good performance (fast and snappy). Only thing I would change is a slot mechanism (instead of tray), but for the price it definitely rates as a best buy.

Works with my Surface so that’s GREAT

I purchased this Lenovo DVD burner after purchasing another brand that would not work with my Surface (it needed more power from the USB port than the Surface could provide). The Lenovo gives me the flexibility to add to my Surface software I purchased in a disk format. It works great and is easy to carry.

A great recorder with extremely good high definition

A great recorder with extremely good high definition. You can burn disks and erase them at all recording modes. Hi-Def in all recording speeds but best in SP (1 hour) mode. Remote control is compact and efficient. Easy set-up and playback. I could not be more pleased.

Plug and Play perfection

This was a simple plug and play. No problems getting it to work on Windows 10. I took it out of the box, turned on the computer, plugged in the drive and it worked perfectly. I have not used it to burn anything yet, but I don’t expect to have issues. LOVE IT!!

When I get appropriate sized burner DVDs then I will completely test out its capabilities. It did its job all the way up to “You do no have enough space available to write this video”

I was told one thing, but it wasn’t so….

I was told by the customer service rep that you could record movies, shows, sports programs, documentaries on to a DVD from a DVR with this, but it wouldn’t work. That’s why I bought it, but I feel like I wasted my money. I sure won’t do that again. I have to upgrade to a newer DVR from the one I have now, and I wanted to save my shows, etc., but I can’t do that now. Am going to lose them. Very disappointed.

Bought new Lenovo w/o DVD. Needed something to save large files to and did not want to use only memory sticks.

A great buy for your buck!!

This external DVD burner works well with my laptop. Playback and burning DVD’s has good quality and timely. I would recommend this product to anyone including friends and family.
