Great picture and love that it’s a smart tv! I feel that it was well worth the price and it shipped super quick. It’s our bedroom tv, so we didn’t need a huge one and I feel the size is perfect.
Alright, first and foremost– I bought two of these smart tvs for the lobby of my office. I had purchased them from Best Buy at a great sale price (brand new) at $299/each –which Amazon didn’t price match for some reason…Initial Thoughts: 43 inch smart tv WITH A WEB BROWSER for that cost was simply a steal. the initial startup was simple and internet/cable was set up within a matter of seconds. The picture looks great in person although I can tell what other reviewers are saying regarding the color tones being a little dim. If this was for a residential home for a main tv– I’d have to play around with the contract, vividness settings for quite some time but it is able to look ~near quality picture~ to what you can get out of the comparable $375 Samsung 40”. The tv does have prebuilt settings that can adjust the picture easily if you don’t know what you are doing.Construction: Very Light and noticeably not 100% as well built as a Samsung. A little more bulky…and just feels hollow. Again, I don’t care. they look good in my office and the picture is probably 75% to 80% worthy of watching advertising and Netflix.Final Thoughts after a few months - tv still runs great, looks great, picture hasn’t faded. Overall, no issues given the fact that both tvs have been on for 12+ hours a day 5-6 days a week.
I was surprisingly disappointed. I expected what the reviews said “bright and vivid picture”. Well not so much. I worked with the settings and even had a Dish Tech give it a try. The picture is dark and dull. When compared to our other TV sets, it just fails in comparison to the Samsung. Not even close.
I ordered this via another retailer but while I was awaiting delivery, I read some of the reviews here. I was nervous about the picture quality because a few reviews mentioned it.When I got it, I immediately understood some of the complaints. The picture comes in dark and dull. I went to settings and set mine at Vivid and then I turned off the “Eye Strain” setting. These changes brightened the picture and now it comes through sharper, brighter, and looks very nice. But I’ve found, picture quality is a relative term. What is bad to one person may be do-able to another. Also, it depends on how much light (natural and artificial) is facing your tv in the room you have it in. It also depends on what programming you enjoy watching as some work better with different settings than others. So I can’t say that the settings I have on this tv would be good enough for your viewing pleasure. So play around in the settings and find something that works best for you.As for the sound: Well it’s clear enough for us. You can buy a compatible sound bar if you need more of a boost but my family is okay with the internal speakers as our living space isn’t that large. The best part about this tv, though, is a cord-cutters dream: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. We haven’t subscribed to cable in years and don’t plan to start now so we had a Roku. Since this tv has the main channels the Roku has, we found we don’t even need to use our Roku anymore. Switching from HDMI channels (to play Xbox and Xbox One) is very easy and my 9 year old son has already mastered this feature in less than 24 hours since we set up the this tv.The only complaint I have about this unit is the flimsy, thin stands. I ensured they were fixed in place correctly, I used the screws that came with the tv and tightened as much as I could but still the legs are wobbly and that makes me nervous. I’m looking around for an alternative stand that I can use with this tv but until then, my family has strict instructions to not move the tv in any way. It’s firmly on the entertainment table but still, those wobbly legs worry me.Overall, I love the quality of this tv (nice picture, decent sound) and the size is perfect for our needs (43”). For the price, I would definitely recommend it.
I acquired from Best Buy for $299. Picture is adequate. Menu system is an awkwardly implemented nightmare.
Easy set-up and great picture. Haven’t used all the features yet. Still not sure why the audio for visually impaired feature was activated and why that activated a similar feature on the cable box, but happily our tech-savvy son was able to deactivate it.
Shipped on time. Very easy to set up. No problem with wifi connection and it’s far from router. Only neg is sound and no swivel stand. My 25” desk top computer has better sound. I’ll buy the sound bar. Still excellent for the price. I recommend
For the price of this TV, the picture is good quality while watching cable. The only problem I had was while streaming Netflix and using screen mirroring. It lags or the quality is not clear enough.
Gift to sister….She is VERY pleased with her TV
clear picture but it won’t connect to my Toshiba DVD VCR recorder player
We love it! Great size! Great picture! Great PRICE!!!!! Easy to get around to Netflix, amazon, anything you desire in this smart tv.
Great resolution. Not a great audio option though. Has been highly functional.
Very nice t.v, great picture quality, I love it! I’m happy, thank you soo much :)
It arrived with a broken screen
Awesome Television, Great picture with clean, crisp lines. Perfect for HD gaming and movies. Will recommend!
