Can’t wait for 4K

Great picture while playing PS4! However, tv shows and movies being broadcasted over cable aren’t quite there yet. Tv is 4K, but sine nothing is in 4k, you really don’t get to experience what this tv can do.

It’s pretty good, but for the price of the 75” …

It’s pretty good, but for the price of the 75” model, I was expecting more. After getting a taste for 4K and recognizing the shortcomings of the current LED technology, I’m downgrading to a LG 65” OLED 4K TV (which happens to be more expensive due to its using of OLEDs).Aside from backlight bleeding (which is what caused me to give my previous-generation TV to a friend), everything about this TV was immaculate. The user interface worked fantastically, the HDR, 3D, 4K, and HDCP 2.2 all proved to be no issues. That said, I heeded some online warnings and connected my PS4 pro directly to the TV, then used optical return audio to run the sound through my receiver.WebOS is truly a pleasure to use, after having seen the progress of smart TVs over the past few years I’m honestly no longer pessimistic about their futures. LG has clearly spent a lot of time soliciting user feedback and making a thing that people actually want, and it shows. It has all my favorite apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Plex). Everything works butter-smooth, including 4k content.PS4 immediately recognized the TV’s capability and upgraded a few of my games to next-gen graphics (dolby vision AKA UHDR) and 2160p. I gotta say I like the old PS4 better than the new one on the outside, but on the inside it’s an entirely different story. In short, if you’re not a gamer or a critical viewer of low-light scenes, this TV is incredible. However, the backlight bleeding proved too much for me to stomach after dropping nearly four thousand dollars into this TV after taxes. I’ll take a slightly smaller surface area with “true” blacks going forward. But I’ll remain an LG customer, as they’ve proved they’re committed to providing consumers with high-quality products at competitive pricing. Most importantly, everything “just works”. 3D output automatically switches to 3D (and back), HDR and 4k work flawlessly with the HDMI cable included in the PS4 box (HDMI 2.0a I imagine), and this TV is everything I could want in a TV – except for black levels.

The delivery was sketchy at best. Delivered with a company called AM Home Delivery

So far TV is okay. I made a well informed choice with IPS panel vs what I consider overpriced OLED. So, in regards to the TV itself, it’s as I expected. The delivery was sketchy at best. Delivered with a company called AM Home Delivery. The expectation they set for themselves via email immediatey following purchase has a customer believe there is a full unboxing/setup/quality inspection upon delivery. The reality was they took the protective wrap off just far enough to reach the power cord. They plugged it into the closest outlet and turned it on…(Styrofoam and bottom section of the box and all) Once they saw the LG logo at bootup, they said their job was done???? Luckily I haven’t had issues with the panel yet. But it left me feeling uneasy that they didn’t even care to fully unbox and setup the TV. Leaving a picture for how the TV was left in my home….

I love this TV

I love this TV, especially the size, just a little disappointed by the backlight causing bands across dark backgrounds, but hey it’s the best in this price range.

Amazing next generation Ultra 4K TV with Dolby Vision

This is an amazing TV! Watching Ultra HD and/or Dolby Vision content on Netflix will blow your mind!! The WebOS is fast and easy to navigate using the controller/mouse pointer. Watching blu ray 3D movies was immersive to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the TV is capable of converting 2D content to 3D content with close to 70% as good as native 3D content. Setting up/configuring OTA channels, internet access and personal preferences was a breeze. The built-in speakers produced pretty decent and clear sound but since I have an existing Yamaha 7.1 system, I hooked it up to the TV via optical cable. I can’t wait for more Dolby Vision content to become available as the visual quality of Dolby Vision content is above and beyond what HDR10 could produce! See it for yourself!

Nice T.V.

Love this T.V. great picture

Great !!

Great Tv With Good Price !!

love it

Ok, I am upgrading from an ancient Sony LCD rear projection tv that tops out at 720p, but my other television is an LG 55OLED6EP and it is also phenomenal. I didn’t expect to be ‘this’ pleased with the UH8500 compared to the OLED but it is really very good. I am sure that many others have and will comment on the details associated with the television (technical features). I just wanted to say that it is working well and shows movies very well. I can see the local dimming but only on test screens. During movies it does as it is supposed to do. I suppose the set could be brighter but it is just fine.

INSANELY FRAGILE.I call tell this TV would be exactly what I was looking for, if it wasn’t damaged immediately.

Awesome TV, and I just love turning regular 2D TV into 3D TV. I watch a lot of TV using the 3D feature. One thing I would like to see is some newer 4k 3D players to pick from

We purchased this TV after an 80” Vizio timed out after 2 years and 4 months. The picture was not so awesome until we plugged in the Samsung UBD-K8500 with a 4K movie.

Exceeded My Expectations

I did a lot of research when I decided to upgrade my TV. It came down to this or the Sony XBR75X940D as I have a number of 3D movies, which I wanted to continue watching even…
