Solution to the Bluetooth issue

I bought this Soundbar because it fits very well with my LG TV. Nevertheless there is this strange problem that the Bluetooth module of the tv is always running and searching for near devices. I connected my tv via optical cable and this is the only function that I want to use. However if your neighbour is funny and wants to listen to music on your soundbar, he can just connect and interrupt your current audio. Since there is no way to disable Bluetooth in general or make some settings for it I disconnected the whole Bluetooth module. Here is the solution for the Bluetooth issue if you don’t want to use Bluetooth at all:- Disconnect your soundbar from power and audio sources.- Turn it around and remove all screws that you can find.- There should be 26 screws + 2 more screws at the HDMI connectors.- Remove the black cover to reveal all electronics.- Find the Bluetooth module and remove the screw.- Remove the cable carefully which connects the Bluetooth module to the rest.- Put the cover back and add all screws.- Enjoy!I also uploaded some photos to make it easier to identfy the Bluetooth module.Be careful and have fun!

Do NOT buy this - its terrible!!!

Horrible issues that cannot be solved and no help from customer service! First, the sub woofer is wireless only - no capability of hard wiring it - that wouldn’t be a problem, except it keeps loosing the connection to the soundbar and the bass keeps cutting out. The only thing that has worked is to physically put the soundbar on top of the sub woofer. The other issue is far worse: the Bluetooth connection cannot be password protected and is always discoverable - the Bluetooth cannot be disabled. My neighbor keeps hijacking the Bluetooth and I start getting Reggae music instead of the sound from my movie. My TV is looked up by an optical cable and there’s no Bluetooth out on my TV, so while it’s on optical, anyone can see the Bluetooth and pair to it and take it over!I may take a screwdriver to it soon to see if I can identify the Bluetooth and disconnect it. Then see if I can hardwire the subwoofer to the soundbar. If that fails - I’ll take it to an empty lot and smash it with a baseball bat like in Office Space. Then I’ll go viral with my review and video of smashing it.I WILL NEVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN!!!

When it works it sounds and looks just OK. Bad customer support.

When it works it sounds and looks great. My problem is that it turns itself off, all by itself, for no apparent reason. When this happens the TV sound does not come on. It happens every four or five days at random times. When this happens the remote does not work at all and to get back to working I have to disconnect and reconnect the power cord. I had about five phone sessions with LG techs and determined that all the settings are correct and I probably have a defective unit. Another thing I don’t like is the long delay for my LG TV to connect to the LG soundbar. They say it’s normal and that’s the way it is. My previous soundbar did not work like that. They want me to return it for a check and possible repair. I will not accept a repair. For this price I want a new replacement since this happened from day one and it’s only been a month of ownership. I am in the process of returning it to LG. We’ll see what happens. I am sorry I purchased this product.Update from first review:Piece of JUNK! I wish there were minus stars for a review. This product gave me trouble from day one. The sound from theTV just goes silent for no apparent reason at random times. When this happens the remote does not work at all. To get the sound back I had to disconnect the power cord and reconnect it. I reported this right away to LG and they had me return it to them for a repair. Since this is a brand new product I wanted a new replacement and not a repair. Why should I accept a repair after 2 days of ownership? LG refused and said they did a software update and the problem should be resolved. Guess what, it still has the problem and damage was done to the front of my soundbar while they had it for repair. They said they did not disassemble the unit and only did a software update. So how was my unit damaged? I am disappointed with LG and will never, repeat never, buy another LG product. I will stick with Samsung or Sony in the future for electronics.Update from second review:Sent it back again for repair or replacement. This time LG told me it needed a part that is no longer available. There are no new units available for a replacement and they will send me a refund when I email them the original receipt. It took them a month to make this decision.LG has terrible customer support once a product is purchased, that has been my experience. I finally purchased a BOSE soundbar and could not be happier. It pays to buy from a company that specializes in one type of product, like BOSE.

Very Nice Soundbar

I purchased this soundbar because I thought it would sound great and compliment my tv. Well I am not disappointed with my purchase. Extremely easy to set up, it synced with my LG TV instantly, the sound it puts out is very good, and it just looks great below my tv. My tv isn’t a curved tv and it still looks great with it.

Waste of money

The woofer on this is terrible. Constantly disconnecting and skipping. No way to wire it directly so there is no apparent way to fix it. Lg is telling me that it’s skipping because my house has wifi. Great job LG.
