Great little projector

GREAT Little projector, works well for dark room movie warching, the internal speakers are not great but have connected a bose soundlink 3 so the sound is great , you can even use bluetooth if you want. The picture quality is great upto 120 inches and can be used in daytime with curtains.

Nice coffee table projector for family movie night but has severely limited zoom and no lens shift

I own several projectors from the low to high end and would rank this model a decent starter model but would probably persuade folks towards a similarly price Epson LCD model with more flexibility and lumens. This LG is really compact with nice color and long bulb life, but if you really enjoy a projector you will probably start itching for an upgrade soon and end up with something with more flexbility.Limited Zoom:This projector offers VERY limited zoom and no lens shift. By limited, I mean almost non-existent. At 6 feet, it gets about a 60” display.. you can adjust the zoom and get that down to 55” but that’s almost useless for adjusting. At 8 feet, you’ll get about 80” diagnol display, and at 10 feet it’s about 100” (about 10” per foot seems to be a good figure for this). The further away the lower the lumens that are hitting the wall. I would say 100” is really the limit for this model with 1500 lumens. I’d guess most people already own a 50-60” TV in their family rooms so you will need to be able to place this projector about 8-10 feet away from you wall to get a bigger image than your TV. Ideally for a true movie experience you want 100+ inches. Don’t expect that you can place this anywhere in your room and adjust the picture size to whatever you want. You really need to invest in the higher end projectors to get into lens shift and flexible zoom options however there are some projectors in this price range that offer these features and those features are worth it in my opinion. It does offer automtic pin cushion adjustment when you tilt the projector up, which is accurate and useful when your using the projector from a coffee table.Picture quality:Picture and colors are actually great in a dark room. It’s not as nice as my Epson due to the Lumen difference but I was actually impressed with the color brightness from some such a small projector. My Epson full-time home theater projector is easily 10x the size of this LG. If you have a light colored wall, you’ll be able to using this for displaying right on the wall, however a dedicate screen will get you a much better experience. I’d recommend a slight grey screen to get better blacks.Lumens:1500 lumens will get you a nice bright picture from the projector at night, but you will have little chance of watching this (enjoyably) during the day or in a well-lit room. If you want a projector that is usable during the day you need to get 2500+ lumens and need to be looking at bright LED models from Epson to accomplish this.WebOS:I also own an LG 4K TV with WebOS and I think the interface is great, however, I have noticed that the experience on this projector is not as good as the one on my TV. My LG TV has several gigabytes of internal storage for “Apps” from LG’s store and I’m able to use Amazon, NetFlix, and Plex with a very nice experience. On my TV, I actually removed my Roku because the 4K support from the WebOS apps was superior to that of Roku’s 4K apps (Roku doesn’t support Dolby Vision’s HDR while LG’s apps do). However, the WebOS on this projector does not allow you install Amazon Prime app or the Sling TV app like are available on my LG TV. It’s just absent when you search for it on the projector’s App store but present on the TV. That’s disappointing if you are a cord cutter and streaming user. I also found using the apps over Wifi to be very sluggish on the projector. I plugged in my Roku Stick and found the experience to be much better. The built-in apps are tolerable, but if you are used to using these apps on other platforms you will likely find them sluggish and slow. In general, the WebOS is an improvement, the built-in TV tuner is good, and you can get by with no other boxes or add-ons assuming you don’t need more than Netflix and Plex.Other things:Wifi works well but seems slow, luckily it has ethernet too if you’ve got a cord nearby. Bluetooth sound to a speaker or headphones is nice because the built in speaker is tolerable for my kids but nothing I would want to listen to long-term.In summary, if you want a small (almost portable) projector to throw up on the wall on Saturday night if your table or such is 10-12’ from the wall. If you need to mount your projector further or closer than that then you should look into either short throw or more expensive models that offer lens shift and more useable zoom. There are much better options for those scenarios in this price range from Epson, BenQ, and others.

Great picture.Powerful punch. Small package.

This project is awesome! Great picture. Great adjustability. Super happy with this purchase.

Working good so far

Working good so far I’m pleased

Five Stars

Good

NO YOUTUBE…

It doesn’t even have youtube… Come ON, LG. I need youtube. It’s a pretty cool little projector. Cheap. I’ve got it hooked up to a 100” screen. Perfect. But the apps….suck. No youtube, no hulu. Just Netflix and Vudu. This needs to change fast. I decided to buy a Amazon Fire stick in the meantime.I hate the remote, it should be wifi as you pretty much have to aim it directly at the projector to get it to work okay. I’ve been using the iphone app to control it, but that also sucks. Any time you open it it has to reconnect to the projector…

It is not SmartTV

There are not many compatible apps. Youtube app is not available as it says at the description. you can see youtube over the web browser but its very slow and crashes very often. there is no app for amazon video and also amazon prime video doesn’t work on the embedded web browser.

Disappointing delivery service and the device was defective and not in new condition

One star is not for the product in itself. I received the item today after 10 days delay beyond the original estimated date. The box had some dirt on and damage inside and out. It had been opened before. The device wasn’t in a new condition, was clearly used before. The box had stickers of older courier service details. I tried to switch the device on, it wouldn’t work at all, just a white screen and “Power Only” message.

Great LED projector!

I use this for my man cave and currently have it installed at about 10.6’ from my homemade screen made from a Wilsonart White Laminate Kitchen Countertop Sheet.

Great picture, easy to use! But what’s up with that warning…?

My wife and I love the picture quality we get from this projector and overall we are extremely happy with it but there is one lingering question: The projector comes with a…

Good but unfortunately does not have trumotion.

Picture quality is good for the money however it does not have trumotion as its successor pf1500. It is the only drawback of the device, other than that everything is good enough…

BETTER THAN THE BEST

Amazing picture quality with lots of functions . No need to invest in projector screens. Lots of options to adjust picture quality for customers choice.
