The most elegant way to mount your 2016 LG 50” or 65” OLED display - Ultra low-profile, stylish, and stout!

This is an extremely well-engineered mount! I hemmed and hawed after reading the reviews - “The mount was flimsy”, “Can’t mount it exactly where you want”, etc. Based upon the package I received, I have no concerns. In particular, I was surprised to find heavy-gauge 18” steel “stud spanners” for heavy-duty anchoring into a stud-backed drywall or plaster wall. These were not described in any of the online installation manuals I saw (and they are not shown in the product photos on this site). These are beefy - they ain’t coming down if properly fastened using the included lag bolts. The mount itself is a piece of fabrication beauty - stout where it needs to be, light and thin where it doesn’t. The cast articulating arms are nicely formed and thoughtfully engineered. This is so much better and more elegant than the typical big, black and ugly articulating mounts (which is getting moved into the guest bedroom, along with the Panny plasma display… :-) …). The use of the mount plate fixed to the articulating arms and the simple “posts” screwed into the four VESA hard points is ingenious. The posts slip into keyhole slots on the fixed plate and are secured with simple wire bales and a couple of set screws.What this isn’t: This is NOT a fully-articulated “pull it out from the wall a few feet and aim it into the kitchen” kind of mount! Even with the stud spanners, it’s just a hair over 0.75” (³⁄₄”) deep (!!). The articulation allows you to pull it out about five inches from the wall for servicing cables and connections. It can be tilted side to side (horizontally up to 15 deg +/- 2) and up or down (vertically, for glare reduction, up to 12 deg +/- 2). With that said, the articulation is really there for “set it and forget it” movement - It’s not really designed for swiveling the display, this way and that, once installed.What it is: It’s a super-low profile mount that will securely and stylishly present your 2016 LG OLED curved or flat 55” or 65” display (or any display with a 300x200 or 400x200 VESA mount pattern where the VESA area under the mounting plate is relatively flat and does not need to be accessed or provide significant additional clearance for cables, etc.) Who wants a 3 - 5” deep over-engineered and ugly industrial mount hanging off of the wall when most of the screen is thinner than a pencil?! The mount plate sits low on the “fat” portion of the display - it really accentuates the airiness of the thinnest and most elegant portions of the screen.Take a look at the pictures I’ve posted for additional details. In the end, this was so much better for my situation and taste than I had expected based on a critical read of the reviews posted here. If you were worried about mounting flexibility, the stud spanners provide a lot more maneuvering room - it’s NOT just the plate/articulating arm that’s shown above! Also, I have absolutely no concerns about the stoutness or sturdiness of the product. It’s burly where it counts.

Awesome mount!

This was an easy install and my new oled looks awesome! I used toggle bolts to mount it exactly where I wanted. My studs are placed too far apart and would have required me to attach it to some plywood spanning stud to stud…. Which wasn’t going to happen. The toggle bolts allowed me to install the TV in the exact location where I wanted my TV. The mount is very well-made of thick sturdy steel. A previous reviewer who stated that this mount is overpriced and barely able to support the weight of the TV clearly installed the mount incorrectly and his television is at risk of falling because of it. I highly recommend this mount.Wanted to add something:Some people have said the metal is flimsy or bendable or cheap; they must have received a counterfeit. I ordered mine directly from Amazon (no 3rd party seller) and the gauge/thickness and sturdiness of the metal is impressive. It’s Japanese steel impressive. There’s no way anyone would call it ‘flimsy’ or bendable. It’s not malleable; there’s no way those people received the real thing.

I threw my 65” 4K OLED on the wall in 15 minutes.

Not to get confused with the 2015 OLED “special” mount that LG made you buy with your already expensive OLED TV. This mount is purely optional for the 2016+ models.I purchased the 65” OLED 4K Curved display which LG started including VESA 400mm standard mounting. However, this kit, being made by LG for LG and for 100$ is absolutely beautiful.Blending in with the wall, it has tilt, telescope and pitch/yaw. If you can’t get the TV angle you want, then you must be doing something wrong.Instructions were easy to read and the item is heavier than it looks, giving it a premium feel. This mount was perfect for my 65E6P

This mount was perfect for my 65E6P. Not flimsy, as some other reviews suggest, and super simple to hang. I used toggle bolts to place it exactly where I wanted it and then perfectly leveled it using the screws on the mount. If you have an LG OLED TV, this is the mount for you.

Very high quality

This mount is a very good bargain. For the price you get a very heavy, high quality mount. It is not like those stamped steel mounts that you usually find. This mount is very heavy duty and high quality. After paying so much for a 65” LG OLED I feel secure that this mount will more than do its job.

Well Designed and Engineered

Very minimalist but sturdy. Easy to mount even with my wall having only access to one stud in the center where I wanted it. On the left I used the supplied wood screws, on the right, I used 4EA 90 pound rated toggle bolts to anchor it in the drywall. Although mine was perfectly level, there are set screws on either side to adjust the horizontal placement by +/- 10 degrees if needed. Nice!

Easy to install and mount

Easy to install and mount. You can adjust the TV close to the wall or separated from the wall, you can also tilt it up or down. The only problem is that it is difficult to push the TV back once you have moved it forward. I am afraid to damage the TV screen if I push too hard.

The wall mount is easy to install on the wall

The wall mount is easy to install on the wall. You need to have it well centered on the wall because there is little adjustment left or right. The wall brace should have been at least 30” because I could not hit 2 stubs and center the set right. It will support our OLED TV very well. You will need 2 people to install the TV onto the mount. It uses 4 pins to secure the TV to the mount and they are not easy to hit. Once on the unit there are screws to move the pins up to level the set just right. You could use a cheaper wall mount but once the set is on the mount, there is lots of adjustments the mount can do.
