Flawless Screen Protector in terms of application but had one small issue…

I’m a little torn with this review. It comes with 2 protectors. One of the two was scratched already and I almost returned this. But I wanted to try using the other protector to see how it works. I’ve done a lot of these installations and I have to say that this was one of the most easiest to apply. Because the adhesive isn’t so sticky, after you put it down, you can adjust the screen to exactly how you want it and then press down to make it stick. Because of this, it fits almost perfectly on my DP-X1a, exactly in the middle of the screen with a only a few mm around the edges.Contrary to other reviews, you don’t need instructions to apply this to your unit. My goodness, just make sure there’s no dust on your screen, put it on, adjust carefully, and then press down.So, VERY RECOMMENDED (but only 4 stars) because the product applies very easily so I will not return this product as I don’t actually need two protectors. No biggie.

Great layer of protection

Was a breeze to install. Clean the display well with the alcohol pad provided, then clean it some more with your own pads, then clean it again. Dry it with the satin cloth provided and have a can of compressed air standing by to blow off any dust or lint that tries to settle back. This glass doesn’t flex like other screen protectors so be prepared to do a few test runs before actually cleaning and installing so you know what to expect and aren’t too nervous. The glass is slightly smaller then the screen so take care to align it in the center properly. It does raise the display area a bit but the protective glass edges run in the borders of the display so you won’t see them when using the DP-X1. Adds a level of relief against accidental damage, scratches while in pockets or bags, etc.. Nice to have a spare as well. Once applied I realized just how well it works and how it is worth the $20.

Great screen protector

Excellent protector. Applied easily the first time without air bubbles. The single alcohol pad was already dried out on opening the package. However, it wasn’t needed as I had already carefully cleaned the screen with a freshly washed microfiber cloth. Would suggest manufacturer include two more durable alcohol pads (to accommodate two protectors in package). I had already read that instructions were not included but think they could be helpful for some first time users.

Great screen protection

Just got it today. Fits perfect and feels like it’s the actual screen. It came with wipe and alcohols paper and a stick paper. Installation was easy.

Glad there were 2 covers..

Instructions would have been nice! Absolutely nothing as far as how to apply the screen. I went to their web page (lifeboxcase dot com) and could not even find this product. Searched with keywords “onkyo”, then “dp-x1” and “dpx1”.. zilch!No biggie, I’ve put screen protectors on mobile phones before. Glad this was a 2-pack because the first protector had a large air bubble along the right edge about halfway up the screen plus a smaller one in the top-right corner that I couldn’t work out no matter how much I tried. I pulled the protector off, re-cleaned the screen with the provided alcohol wipe and buffing fabric to no avail. The bubbles returned,The second screen worked out just fine

Poor adhesion

A lot of money for a mediocre product. On the good side, the size of the tempered glass was fine and fit over the existing glass perfectly which is nice given some of these tempered glass protectors are cut on the smaller side.Problem is that the stickiness of the tempered glass was on the low side. I’ve used a lot of these tempered glass screen protectors on many phones before and this had probably the least adhesion I’ve ever used and, as a result, I ended up with the dreaded bubble on the screen (see attached picture).The glass also lifts up pretty easily. Good protection for the screen with the extra layer on top but poor execution, especially at this inflated price.

Didn’t work. Tried the second screen protector, it worked.

No instructions, am familiar with attaching screen protectors. Cleaned with alcohol pad, used tacky paper for removing dust. This is what it looks like. I received two for price of one. Haven’t tried it with the other glass. This what it looks like on device. I can’t attach a photo…..Well, I tried the second screen and it works great. I don’t know why the first one didn’t work.

Spend some time

The size of these is not exactly the same size of the Onkyo screen - they’re slightly smaller so check before lining up the edges - you’ll be peeling it off again to realign.I have placed these before so I know what to do, but no included instructions is a little silly.I also got one with a defect - a bible or something in the glass itself, so back they go.

As others have stated in their reviews, this doesn’t come with any instructions. But, if you’ve ever installed one before - you know what to do.
