The Frame mount is the smallest, lightest way to mount your HERO 3⁄3+/4camera. Sleek frame design for low profile, compact mounting, engineered for optimal sound at speed. Come with protect lens cover,which can give your lens an extra protection when you do not use it.
Encase your camera inside the frame housing, then use the long thumbscrew to fix the frame to the mount. You can attach the mount to many different GoPro accessories. The Frame mount is NOT waterproof and not optimized for use in extreme conditions where dirt and sharp objects can damage the camera lens.

so I do a lot of research on alternatives before I buy and this was a great alternative to the frame mount and its even BacPac .
I personally scoff at the GoPro accessories and their mark ups, so I do a lot of research on alternatives before I buy and this was a great alternative to the frame mount and its even BacPac compatible which was my main focus.The good: Great quality of plastic, however a bit tricky to get the GoPro in with out worrying you will break the housing. However I found after a few tests it is a very strong plastic that most likely will not snap when inserting the camera.The not so good: I did however get a bit frustrated with the sharp interior edges of the housing that snapped the silver front facia of my Hero4 black, it did it to both sides as you can see in the picture below. Be careful when putting your camera in and make sure you hold it open long enough to clear the Silver front facia or else the edges will catch and split the plastic. Also when inserting to mounts it is a bit lose and you have to over tighten the screw to get a snug fit that will stay in place.The bad: the microphone holes are completely in the wrong places for a Hero 4, they are however in the right places for a Hero 3+. So maybe this should be addressed before it s deemed a Hero 4 case.

There is not much to say besides the skeleton frame fit perfect on my gopro hero 3+ with the lcd pac & surprisingly feels well built for how thin it looks.. Just what I needed!
This border fits my GoPro 3 perfectly, and allows easy access to all the ports. The bolt that you use to attach it to a tripod or selfie stick seems just a little bit too long, for my own personal preference. But hey, it works! I have an attachable external microphone that plugs into my GoPro, and the frame causes absolutely no interference. And, the best part is the price! This housing unit serves its purpose, at a VERY reasonable price!
Perfect for my GoPro Hero3+ Black!
I was a little nervous that I would have to modify the frame when I got it because of some of the pictures and reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised. This frame fits exactly as I want it to. The mic, speaker, power button and wifi button holes are all in the right spot. The hole for the usb cable and sd card are big enough so I can charge it or remove the sd card without needing to take it out of the frame! I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anybody that has a GoPro Hero3+ Black

Nice fitment nice and smooth. Lens cover is a nice rubberized soft texture which was a nice bonus. Tripod adapter screws on no problem. Would like this to have the open slot on the side to access the memory card. That is the only downside having to take it off to access the sd card.

this is NOT a metal frame. it is plastic and you slide your go pro into it. not so easy on the install because feels like the housing is going to break. not sure how this will protect your action cam so i sent it back for a refund. the adapter to mount onto a tripod etc is made of plastic as well and over time, it can crack. i use an aluminum go pro tripod adapter and no longer worry about over tightening and cracking it.
A frame is a frame, right?
If you need a frame mount but you don’t want to spend $30 this is a great alternative. It fits my GoPro well.I like the fact that It came with a tripod adapter and a quick clip. The lens cover is rubber and it fits pretty snug. The hole to access the buttons are recessed and it makes it feel weird when you press the record button. It fits snug ( too snug?) when I put it in the GoPro quick or the quick clip it came with. For the price not bad at all.

When i finally managed to fit my GoPro Hero 4 silver in the housing without breaking! It actually fit perfectly leaving room for the USB and microphone ports, all buttons and the screen are accessible. The plastic housing just feels flimsy and not durable. I love the product but wish if it could be sturdier even if i had to pay a couple more bucks. The little cover that protects the ports of the GoPro cannot be opened or closed with the housing on. You will need to remove the little cover first before fitting your Go Pro in this housing. Watch my review video

Works as described, need to improve the design by moving the mounting point more tward the back of the housing so it will fit on a chest mount. Otherwise it’s decent.
