Four stars for efficacy, NOT for safety or the nasty scents. Should give only ONE star, but nothing compares for use.
I loathe artificial scents added to products given that they pretty much always have phthalates and some combination of other toxins with fragrance enhancement properties, e.g. acetone, formaldehyde, benzaldehyde. There are many possible traditional natural and safer ingredients available but infrequently used nowadays due to the cheapness and abundance of these unnecessary toxins in our products.All that negativity said, Lysol is one of those products that has a uniquely effective combination of germ killers that works both as an applied liquid and in aerosolized form, so I keep it around for those occasional oopsies that require some serious sanitation. Otherwise the can just sits around while much healthier products perform their jobs. The citrus scent is the only Lysol spray even remotely tolerable to my supersensitive nose, though I’d much rather have a spray with no added scent or scent maskers, nor any of the toxins added for aroma intensification or greater persistence. I’m conflicted how to allocate stars here. In truth, I would give a completely unscented product 4 stars and the scented versions only 1 or 2. Due to lack of options
Great protection at a good price
Just read a Lysol spray label and you’ll be amazed at the types of bacteria, viruses and fungi it protects against. I’ve got it in each bathroom, the kitchen, my gym bag and in my desk at work. No, I’ve never been diagnosed as obsessive-compulsive, and there’s nothing like hand-washing in hot soapy water, but I can’t afford to get sick. Since I’ve started using this, I have made it through 3 or 4 winters with no colds or flu, or just mild, beatable cold symptoms. My household’s rate of athlete’s foot has zeroed (and I work at gyms & pools). Proof is, people around me ask to borrow it. Hey, spread the cure. This two-pack cost me less than at retail and took about two weeks to arrive, but it was worth it.

This is a great product for sanitizing and freshening fabrics throughout my home. I use it on pillows, chairs, my couch, bed, curtains, and rugs. I knocked off a star because I don’t particularly like the smell. It’s a very strong, chemical-ly, “fake” vanilla-type smell that isn’t too pleasant to me. However, the scent only lasts for a few minutes, and then dries down to a generic “fresh” scent on the fabrics. I also wish that a can lasted longer. With consistent weekly use I only get about a months use from one can, but subscribe and save means I don’t have to worry about re-purchasing.

We spray the insides of our shoes with this and it keeps them fresh.My grandson lives in steel-toe leather boots all day and the definitely refresh those overnight.I have shoes with a strange smelling fabric lining, so I spray these also.The scent is neither medical not strong and leaves our shoes basically neutral smelling.

can’t find it in stores. it’s large and its scent remains very close to the original scent. Would not buy if scented otherwise. All these different scents kill my allergies. Lysol sprays has always and still does do the trick and make a place smell clean.
Do not like the scent.
The scent is more “peachy” than “citrus” as in their description. I would switch back to the “original” scent. Was looking for a real citrus, lemony, orangy kind of scent, but this doesn’t really do it.

Bad product?
The can I received has almost no smell at all. I have purchased this locally before but can no longer find it. The scent was completely different in the local product. This is nearly nonexistent, so I question it’s ability to work well.
