It does what they say it does. However it keep dropping the internet every 20 minutes or so.
A must have IMHO
Having the ability to connect hardwired network via Ethernet, USB audio and 10 hrs of battery life is worth the additional cost. To me it’s a must have!

UPDATE 10-7-17: 3 stars to 5 stars. OK, this thing works really well. LONG battery life. Just did a 4 plus hour stream to YouTube and it still has 55% power (which fits right in with the ‘about 10 hours’ estimate the company gives you). I also plugged in my Yeti mic vis USB to this and it worked beautifully. So: For those of you who think it’s just an expensive battery, it’s not. It’s much more than that. It’s an audio interface, an Ethernet interface, a 10-hour battery and, I think, it has something to do with the wireless interface (wifi) but I’m not sure on that.This unit works exactly as advertised. Good job Mevo.UPDATE 10-5-17. Mevo has updated it’s software and firmware on the Mevo camera- fixing (I think) the issues, so, I’m upping that review to 3 stars until I can test this more indepth over the next week or so. If it stands up to expectations, I’ll revisit this and up it to 4, maybe, 5 stars. I love the concept of this product and their support team is on top of things. Let’s hope they get their development group and testing group lined up with the support team’s quality levels.10-2-17 Only works with Mevo camera which I’ve just downgraded to a 1 star so, this too is a one star.
Makes mevo run hot, Internet not reliable with Ethernet… CAUTION BEFORE BUYING.
If you leave the Mevo connected to the Boost even when powered off it drains the battery. Defeats its own purpose because when you’re recording with the Mevo the Boost helps it get so hot that the internet gets cut from the Mevo when using an Ethernet cable. However if you unplug the charger over night its completely drained the next day when you’re ready to use it. Way too expensive to not work right. IF THERE IS A WAY AT ALL POSSIBLE TO TRY BEFORE YOU BUY DO SO BECAUSE IT’S WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR SOMETHING THAT HURTS MORE THAN HELPS.

Ordered the boost with my original Mevo camera months before they were even being shipped. My boost has been an invaluable addition to my Mevo experience, allowing far more recording time and the ability to easily connect my USB mic interface to capture high quality audio from my band performances directly from the mixer. I will most likely purchase another to pair with my new, Mevo Plus camera.
