Product Reviews

This product breaks itself.

I need to have the cable taped up so the controller doesnt disconnect every two seconds and ive had it for a week. I treat all of my stuff very well and have had razer porducts for 5+ years yet without doing anything bad to my controller it broke in a week. This controller is purely garbage and i will definitely be getting the 360 wired controller for my pc.

The controller is great. The cable is a piece of junk

The controller is great. The cable is a piece of junk. The come from the factory all bent up in many spots from being folded and put into the packaging. The plastic must be very hard and dry as well because the outer shell even looks cracked in some of the fold / bent areas and also the cabling looks knotted up where the folds are. The plastic on my first cable split open where one of the bends were shortly after I had gently tried to smooth the cable out. I’m now on my 2nd cable since I didn’t want the other one to crap out on me while gaming. The 2nd cable I purchased is just as bad of quality. I will be contacting microsoft about this issue as I have purchased and own many different brands of usb cable in my day and none have had this issue. Microsoft must have picked the wrong supplier in china to go through. Too bad hardly anything is made in our country any more. The only reason I didn’t just use my anker micro usb is because although it is great quality it doesn’t fit super snug where it connects in like the xbox one does to the controller. If anyone else has noticed this please comment so we can get more attention brought to this issue and make Microsoft switch suppliers and give us all new cables that are of acceptable build quality. Thanks for reading.

July 7th, 2016. Still selling the horrible older model of this controller.

This is a lottery and it’s not a fun one.The controller I received does not have the 3.5mm jack on it and it has the older bumper buttons. The sale page should have different listings for this reason. If you decide to buy this it’s at your own risk.

Handles like luxury sports car but time will tell if it lasts .

Clean / aggressive looking , light controller with a very subtle grainy texture to it as with the joy sticks, it a fits in the hand pretty darn near perfect , if there is such a thing as perfect. Imo it is more comfortable then the 360 and looks better , so to say the least the handling of the xb1 controller is top notch . The chord is plenty long and seems durable enough for someone that isn’t gonna treat it like garbage , we shall see tho . the main selling point for me was the fact I can later down the road buy a router and go wireless if I ever want to. One bad thing is that it doesn’t have a head phone jack on it witch was a little bit disappointing as I was convinced that it would , it’s 2016 afterall. the price is a bit steep but I do feel that with care the xb1 will last a few years just as my 360 controller did and will be well worth in the money . Time will tell .

Outstanding Gamepad!!

Absolutely LOVE this controller!! It’s light and comfortable. The sticks are precise and the dpad is much improved over the 360’s. Actually, that whole underslung battery pack is gone now too!! Way more comfortable to hold for long periods of gaming. The face buttons are responsive and the triggers are better than ever. They have a slight groove to them; like they’re trying to hold your finger in place a little. The bumpers are responsive and well placed imo. I know some have complained about them, but again I find them to be the perfect compliment to the triggers. They are a little less clicky than the ones on the 360.Anyway, great all around controller and it works seamlessly with windows too!!If not I found this […]it has the links for the 32bit & 64bit drivers as well as some good nfo on how to use the thing on ur pc. Again, I’d highly recommend this controller whether you’re on an Xbox One or a PC. Pair it with the wireless adapter and a play and charge/battery for best results imo.Fyi, Headsets & mics Through this controller should also work on Windows 10.

Endless Problems on PC

Trigger vibration (aka impulse triggers) doesn’t work at all in windows outside of the UWP windows store walled garden. Trigger vibration in steam games will NOT work. This is, believe it or not, an intentional design feature to encourage you to buy games on xbox and UWP. You can still get the basic left and right vibration motors working, but they are much weaker than the ones in the 360. Also in the 360 you can feel it instantly, whereas on the xbox one controller there is about a half second delay in the exact same game. This is because the impulse triggers were supposed to provide the immediate feedback while the 2 lower motors provide ambient vibration. So all you get is ambient vibration with none of the important vibration.I looked it up, apparently they didnt even add trigger vibration to the Xinput API, so developers cant even put it in their games even if they want to. Great job M$, you really outdid yourself this time.It was also all but impossible to get this controller working properly on windows 7. I spent about an hour before I got wired working, and about four more hours before I got wireless to work. That is totally crazy to me, holy smokes M$ get it together. On windows 10 it worked much better, the wired version worked right out of the box and the wireless only took me about 15 minutes that time (but I knew what I was doing that second time, so your mileage may vary.) Even now the wireless adapter will randomly de-sync from the controller on windows 10. I have no idea why. I start up my computer like normal and it just forgot about its previous pairing for some reason. A quick re-sync and it works again. On the bright side, the D-pad is much better this time around. So thats something.

XB1 for Mac

A great purchase! It’s not bad when it’s $40 but bear in mind that you might wanna get the new Xbox One S controller if you want the very best. Apparently they fixed the bumpers breaking as well so that’s always good. I’m using mine with my Mac and my PC, no issues or complaints. If you’re on Mac you’ll need to use the modified Tattiebogle drivers, they’re on GitHub somewhere, I forget where. They support XB1 controllers including 360 emulation, and they’re just an all-around great driver. Thumbs up!

This controller is amazing. It’s the prefect upgrade to the xbox360 controller

This controller is amazing. It’s the prefect upgrade to the xbox360 controller. The buttons feel perfectly “clickly’ and the texture on the joysticks are super…

Joysticks kind of fudged up after light use… I don’t game often. This just sits on my computer table… but the joysticks are already broken I think. The direction spazzes out.
