The reason I needed a replacement wand is because the original Meile wand ended up sticking in the extended position, and neither I nor my husband nor the vac dealer could get it to close. This made it awkward for most vacuuming.When received the new wand, I was surprised to discover it DOES snap on to the Meile handle. I thought by the description and picture it would be friction only. Very nice! Almost identical to the original Meile wand ie well-built, high quality metal, except the snap feature and extension button are MUCH easier to work than on the original.I looked at all the available wands from the cheapest to the most expensive, and read all the reviews. If you are looking for a replacement for a Meile wand, this one is perfect.

High quality

This telescoping wand is longer than the wand that came with my Miele S7, so it stands higher when it is propped in it’s holding position. I don’t care because it works. It is made of a much higher quality metal than the original Miele wand that came with the vacuum! It feels like the kind of metal a baseball bat might be used to make. It is so much better than I expected and so much better than the OEM version.
