Product Description

Their war has not yet ended… It is Universal Century 0079, at the end of the One Year War between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. The space colonies of Side 4, or Moore, were previously destroyed by a Zeon attack, and many colonists lost their lives. Side 4 became a shoal zone filled with the wreckage of destroyed colonies and warships, lit by constant flashes of lightning due to collisions between electrified debris. It soon came to be known as the “Thunderbolt Sector.” The Moore Brotherhood, an Earth Federation Forces unit made up of surviving citizens from Moore, set out to exterminate the Zeon forces in the Thunderbolt Sector in order to reclaim their homeland. To halt the Federation advance, the Zeon forces deployed their own Living Dead Division, which was established to collect combat data on soldiers with prosthetic limbs. Io Fleming, though part of the Moore Brotherhood, hates being tied down by his homeland and family history. Daryl Lorenz, having lost his legs in earlier battles, is now an ace sniper of the Living Dead Division. When they confront each other on the battlefield, they will reach a mutual realization. These two are destined to kill each other.

Special Features: Trailers, Promos, and TV commercials.

Directed by Kou Matsuo (My Hero Academia, Orange, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I movie).

Audio: English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo, Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo; Subtitles: English; Video: 16 x 9 widescreen.

Blew me away!

Been a huge Gundam fan since I was a little boy. The Universal Century time line is my favorite out of all the gundam, even more the one year war. This movie really brings back Gundam to life. What I like about this Gundam movie is the main. Characters are just normal average Joe’s that get better. An other thing I like is the Gundam itself isn’t treated like its a living thing. It is treated like another war machine in hopes of winning the war. Also what I like, is the “new type” thing is not in this movie. I ly a few mentions here and there, but all of the battles is raw pilot skills. With Gundam Unicorn now long gone, I’m glad this one was made and stays true to the story and the franchise. Unlike some of the spin offs that were made. Talking to you Gundam 00 and Gundam Seed.

It is an amazing port from episodic to movie format

This ONA absolutely blew me away. It is an amazing port from episodic to movie format; not skipping a beat between transitions at all. I’d like to point out that the voice casting and English dub is spectacular. Amazon may still have this listed as subtitled only, but I can confirm that the English dub comes default. If you loved the animation in Unicorn you will find yourself right at home here. This may be the best animation done for a Gundam series to date!

Battle in the Thunderbolt sector.

Though short, this Blu-ray movie is made of only four OVAs put together so considering that I’m glad that at least made it here to US Shores. Animation is superb, incredible visuals given the shortness of this movie. Voice actors are decent. Overall lot of effort was made into this release. No major complaints, so five stars.
