this unit does want it said it would, how ever the format in the ad is not the same as the unit I got. the battery charge icon on the pictured unit looks professional. the unit I got has a smiling face on a battery. works but is a bit childish. DO NOT HOOK UP OUT OF SEQUENCE. read the instructions.

Great Controller, Terrible Printed Instructions

This is a true intelligent charger, with the ability to add a switched load to your system (for example an anchoring light on a boat or an outdoor light on a landscape lighting system). The sharp display can be toggled to see the solar panel output, the battery charge level, the load (when on) and is lighted briefly for night use. The instructions are among the worst I’ve ever read, and the print is tiny. A couple of online videos will help here.

I work on solar generator systems was so charge controller has worked amazingly I ordered two of them for a joint portable system and I haven’t looked back since I plan on ordering more in the future for future projects

Works good for the price

Works good for the price, the controls are pretty simple once you play around with it. I only have 1 solar panel charging car batteries and using led lights connected to the power controller. Runs both led lights all night. The solar panel is only getting direct sunlight in the afternoon. I haven’t used the timer mode yet. USB charging works

Don’t buy it

This product is not good. It is not intelligent, you get what you pay for. Lucky I had a carbon monoxide alarm to detect my batteries were being overcharged in my boat. You get what you pay for here.

Works great

I just started solar powering about a year ago and so far so good. I’m still learning and this solar panel controller has really helped. Are use this controller with both of my flexible 100 W panels for when we take our trips & camping trips on the road. When I setup my 12 V batteries I’m really able to get the most out of them. The display panel always let me know how charged my batteries are and reads the amps. Thats a major plus and I also love the fact that it has USB port display.

Yes and no

So far so good. I am disappointed with the size connections for the solarticle panel wires. They do not accommodate the gage wire. I have had to remove strands and reconnect a few times.
