5⁄8 inch Piston Rod: Heavy-duty nitro carburized rod for long service life. On non-dust shield units only
The Monroe Gas-Magnum truck shock absorber is designed for mid to full size, hard working pick-up trucks and vans. These units provide firm control without a harsh ride. With up to twice the fluid capacity of standard 1 inch bore shocks, Monroe Gas-Magnum truck shocks work more efficiently with less effort.
Went right in my 2000 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab. Just remember to place the shock in the correct upright position as it will be installed, and run it full stroke up and down a few times to work the oil in the chambers before you install them. The instructions don’t tell you this, but I learned this “trick” way back. It extends the life of the shock, and makes it work better.
Good fit and finish. Great ride. Slight spring rate boost made the truck sit up in the front. Like when it was new !
installed kyb and removed them after a week and put these on. these things are really heavy duty.
very good shocks
Perfect price and fit!
I bought these for a friend. When he intalled them and used them on his Dodge truck there were no complaints
Perfect fit
as expected
Not strong enough for my truck (2002 Dodge RAM 3500 RWD DRW Diesel), although listed as an OEM replacement. They lasted 6 months.Might be okay for a light truck.
This is for one shock…i’m pissed gotta put repairs off again till i get the other one.
great
What’s to like about a shock?
it was the wrong one for my vehicle, but was exchanged for the right one.the shocks work good
They’re not the right shocks don’t fit
I made the mistake of trusting the fit guide for Amazon for this part. It is supposed to fit a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD (my truck), but it does not actually fit.
